I see Tari Eason is out 4 to 6 weeks with an oblique strain. While not starting, it is not an insignificant loss for the Rockets...
Just keeping an eye on the teams in front of the Wolves. The Wolves are 4 games over .500, while they might take a step back tonight, they have an upcoming schedule that should allow them to expand that margin. For comparison sake, the Wolves did not get to 4 games over .500 until January 27th last season.

NAW dropped 16 in the 4th quarter and was a +22 in 2pt win. We really miss that guy, and Atlanta doesn't miss Trae at all.

Atlanta has the 6th best defense in the NBA and a slightly below average offense. As for Trae Young, Small-ish guards that score in high volume but are big defensive liabilities are fool's gold to a large extent. Even if they do well in the regular season, they tend to get targeted more in the playoffs and the defenses tend to tighten up and make them less efficient as scorers. Darius Garland is another good example. His Net Rating numbers are awful - way worse - in the playoffs than the regular season.
Bringing this back to the Wolves, this is why it's absolutely imperative that Dillingham makes himself "passable" defensively. He doesn't have to be great or even neutral, but he has to figure out a way to contribute on that end. And then hopefully his offense comes around as well!

Wemby out with a calf strain for a couple of weeks. Spurs could fall off a bit. Derrick Jones out with an MCL sprain for 6 weeks. Clippers had already fallen off a cliff!
On NAW, we know his defense is very good. But his offensive effectives is down compared to his time with the Wolves. He's just getting more minutes and a higher usage rate. I would be disappointed if we had him at 14 mil...

And he ended the game a +10. Aaron Gordon was a +18. Chicago's bench whipped Denver's bench, something we couldn't do.

True. That game swung when Denver went on the 8-0 run early in the 4th without Jokic.

I didn't watch it but based on the box score the Utah vs LA games looks like it would been disgusting viewing!
The Lakers shot 40 FT to the Jazz's 18. Must have been maddening to watch
