Fun to have hoops back again!
Puzzled by Houston starting Adams over Shephard. Not enough confidence in Shephard, or just trying to counteract OkC's 2-center lineup? I think it might be more the former. We're mixed on Rob here, but I think he would be starting over Adams if he were on the Thunder.

Anybody else appreciate the irony of the first challenge of the season is by Daigneault wanting to get the foul call on SGA...and it's successful!
(it was the right call though)

I will say it looks like another season where OKC is allowed to grab as much as they would like

Man, Houston with just a massive starting lineup.....and it's working so far.
Re: Around the NBA:2025-6
So ya think averaging 6'10" in your starting lineup is massive?
OkC might be the better team here, but Houston wants to win more. The talent in the NBA is so even, it's difficult to win if you don't bring it every night, and tonight only Caruso and Wallace seem to care. Maybe the Thunder will turn it on in the 4th quarter, but so far they don't look much like the team we faced in the finals.

My favorite stat is SGA with just two free throws. It's a miracle!FNG wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 8:40 pmSo ya think averaging 6'10" in your starting lineup is massive?

Ha, I know! But even SGA doesn't get calls if he is indifferent about driving to the basket. I love Shai, but he is playing like a guy who thinks OkC just has to show up to win.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 8:43 pmMy favorite stat is SGA with just two free throws. On the other hand there's Sengun. He's a 27% career 3-point shooter who's 5 for 7 tonight...and looks comfortable taking them. Did he have an Ant "I'm going to get better at 3's" summer? If so, he's going to be scary.
Re: Around the NBA:2025-6
I'm gonna let Tim tee up the opener GDT, but there is some news...Ant is questionable with back spasms.
Re: Around the NBA:2025-6
This is how good OkC is...their starters are 2 for 20 on threes, and they still are leading with a .43 left

I don't know about the post up, but the mid range could be an effective shot for Ant if he can make it. Its been important all game for both OKC and Houston in this game.
