Can someone else please verify that I've stepped up and acknowledged Stauskas as a likely bust? I've done it more than once as it routinely gets thrown in my face (we never throw the things I'm right about in my face, though). I'm hoping he turns it around next year with Karl as HC. Three different coaches, an unstable locker room and a different high draft pick already ahead of you in the rotation is challenging. I'd like to think Nik bounces back, but for the most part, he hasn't looked like the guy I loved at Michigan. (He does have a sweet nickname now, though.)
I also said that I was wrong about Wiggins not being able to be a high scorer in the NBA. I was super worried about his handle and attitude towards offense. Now, those issues flair up from time to time, but he has four 30+ scoring outputs on the year and has proven to me that he can live at the FT line. Wiggins should be a very good scorer moving forward.
In my opinion, I'm pretty good about acknowledging when I'm both right and wrong. You shouldn't do one without the other. I'd also say that I'm more right than I am wrong.
Regardless, thanks for the call out.

Cam's owned up on Stauskas. He was right about Towns the prospect before Towns really started producing a ton. Stanley Johnson......We'll see about that one.
As for Wiggins, I also didn't think he'd be able to score like this right away. What's funny is that he is much more Durant than Pippen. No one would have thought that early in the year. He really hasn't been a jack-of-all trades utility guy like Pippen was, which I've been a bit disappointed by. For a guy so athletic, he's sort of quiet when he isn't being set up for plays. But he's really figured out a way to manufacture points lately. He just needs to get that 3-ball in his arsenal in order maximize his efficiency.

I'm curious people's thoughts on Hezonja vs the college wings. Keep in mind I'll never give a guy my stamp of approval without seeing him in an actual game but his highlights look pretty legit. They aren't all just athletic plays but many are actual NBA level basketball plays.
Also depending on how the top of the draft goes I wouldn't mind taking Rashad Vaughn with one of our second round picks. It seemed like he was always most interested in the NBA so I wouldn't be surprised if he came out despite any real hype around him.

Im really liking justice winslow. He is now number 3 on my board. If we get the 3rd pick, Im for getting him, maybe trade down a spot or 2 to get him and another asset. A winslow-wiggins combo at the wings is going to be really good.

I think they'd be a terror together as well. Who do you have ranked 1-5?

I haven't been on here a lot and I know Cam has owned up to Stauskus. I'm surprised he hasn't done much either but they have a weird combo of players there so I don't know if he really has a good spot to succeed. Like Cam said Karl may be good for him.

If he's No. 3 on your board, then that means you like him more than one of Towns/Okafor/Russell. I'd be interested to know which one it is.
As for the statement alone, No. 3 is absurdly high for a guy that is arguably the third best college player on his own team (second-best NBA prospect). I'd be upset if Flip thought the same.

I have okafor 1 and towns 2. Winslow 3, mudiay 4 and russel 5. I just have a good feeling about winslow and i feel he will be an excellent fit here.
This is my opinion and i can certainly accept others having mudi and russel ahead of winslow and i will be open to trading down if we can get another asset.

I'll admit that before I had watched Russell I was not sold on him, but after seeing a few of his games down the stretch, he definitely has the feeling of a future NBA all-star IMO.

I'm with you here World. I'm ready to put Winslow 3 or 4, and ahead of Russell. The big unknown is Mudiay, but I think I'd have him ahead of Russell too.
