Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby don't make the Sixers a title contender, Abe. That's the point I was trying to make rather than knock Toronto's altered season last year.

We'll have to agree to disagree on the Seth Curry angle. The guy is 31-years old. He is what he is at this point, and he's never shown that he's capable of handling a bigger scoring load in a way that Malik Beasley has. That was the point there too.

The bigger picture for Philadelphia has escaped most of the basketball minds here, though. I've done my best to explain it, but we're too dug in our trenches. Talking in circles hasn't led us anywhere. We'll just have to see what eventually happens.

Apparently, there's a deal in place for the Wolves to acquire Simmons. I haven't seen the details yet.

According to Jake Fisher of bleacher report it sounds like most other teams are already out.

While we wait for Lip to reveal his source on this Simmons deal I'll mention that the Cavs seem like a possible team that could be involved depending on how they value Garland and Sexton. There has been some reporting that they don't want to pay Sexton big dollars so he is available but what he might get paid will lower what they will get for him. I low he is putting up those numbers on a bad team but he is doing it very efficiently...on a bad team. Basically the only zone he doesn't shoot very well is long 2's and he doesn't take many.
