I think there is a marketing side of the Rubio contract as well. He was a big name, young, flashy player that the teenage girls love. He's someone we want to give every chance to succeed. I would agree he hasn't lived up to expectations so far. He needs to be able to be more of a scoring threat. At the same time, (IMO) our positional weakness are: #1 PF, #2 C (assuming Pek is chronic) and #3 PG. Therefore, I'm fine waiting another year to see what a 25 year old Rubio can do. This draft seems loaded with Bigs which is our primary weakness. Maybe next year's draft will be loaded with PGs..

All makes sense. But I think more than teenage girls adore our Ricky.

Unless this board is only populated with teenage girls.
