Randle is not a "star", you can't suck at defense and ballhandling and have a career net negative plus minus and be a star. He's a statpadder. I guess if you take out the "tpadde", he's a "sta" "r". Plus they were in the middle of the TOs and dumb final shot, so I put this game on our two main stars. Finch puts a ton of trust in his players and they failed in closing the game out.Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 21, 2025 10:59 pm Maybe they were up 6, but the only way you lose that game is how they did. Finch should call his last TO, draw up a good in bound play, hit a FT or two with Mike and ice the game, go up 7 or 8 with 30 seconds and call it a day.
I haven't seen such an epic blunder by a coach and team in a long time.

Sure but Finch calls TO up 6 (instead of turnover quick 3P) and we win the game. I would also go to Mike on the in bound play to get fouled. He's been there done that a thousand times and is a great FT shooter too.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Fri Nov 21, 2025 11:09 pmBut Randle and Ant can't go 1 for 4 on free throws in crunch time like that. Finch and the players biffed it both for sure.

If I'm understanding correctly tho, the refs biffed it to, as it should have been a delay of game and a tech on Brooks after that 3 point shot that brought the game within 6. Hit the technical FT and gain possession,.who knows maybe it's a 9 point game after that, but the refs missed a critical call and the Sun get a 3.Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 21, 2025 11:18 pmSure but Finch calls TO up 6 (instead of turnover quick 3P) and we win the game. Still inexcusable stuff on the part of the Wolves, but the zebras messed up too (just what I'm reading)

Yeah, in hindsight Finch should have called a TO, but if we are going to give all the credit to players for game winning plays and shots than they also deserve most of the blame when things go awry like tonight. This could have been a fairly easy crunch time win if our two stars simply made their free throws and protected the ball in the last one or two minutes.Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 21, 2025 11:18 pmSure but Finch calls TO up 6 (instead of turnover quick 3P) and we win the game. Agreed. It's easy to blame the coach but he only had the one timeout left right? Your players need to execute right there so you don't have to use the last T.O.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Fri Nov 21, 2025 11:22 pmYeah, in hindsight Finch should have called a TO, but if we are going to give all the credit to players for game winning plays and shots than they also deserve most of the blame when things go awry like tonight.
