Brett Siegel
@BrettSiegelNBA
SOURCE: Henri Veesaar's agency is guiding him to a certain team, and teams before them are willing to pass on him.

He has a promise later in the draft.

hmmm maybe us at 59?
TC playing the 2nd round agent game?!?
Maybe it’s Houston at 53. If so, we should trade up from 59 to 58 and grab Henri. Then we can offer to swap him and the one future 2nd round pick we have for Thornton. :)

Lip, you have to look at the volume he took. He took a TON of 3's and is a movement shooter, which means a lot were a high degree of difficulty. He shot them at a 40%+ clip as a Freshman when he was coming off the bench and probably scouted less.

I'm neutral on the pick, but it is kind of nice that we finally drafted a shooter. We almost NEVER do that with the plethora of 2nd rounders we've had over the years.
Good points, Q. That perspective gives me some comfort at this very difficult time. Now if we end up with the Russian at 59 I’ll be able to sleep well tonight. :)
Lip, I can offer you therapy services if things go too far South tonight. Don't suffer in silence.
I’m still in my denial phase, so I’d say I have no problem and don’t need therapy.

Honestly if Corey Brewer was even an average 3 point shooter he would have been a pretty good player.
CoBrew was a pretty good player.
I don't disagree.
He's no Al Thornton, though.

Dane Moore
@DaneMooreNBA
Isaiah Evans on who he's looking forward to learning from on the Wolves.

"Jaden McDaniels is a lot bigger than me, but I'm really interested in learning from him, how to effect the game on the defensive side as much as he does. Obviously when Donte gets back I really want to be able to fill in that role behind him and just learn how to come in and be that guy who is impacting the game on the wing alongside the guards."

I hope those draft analysts turn out to be right. But it’s hard to dismiss that 36% number. And it’s disturbing that there’s at least one draft analyst who thinks Evans has flawed shooting mechanics.

I just read Vecenie's full write up on him. He is a quick trigger movement high volume shooter. His percentage tages on catch and shoot off screens etc were higher. Think Donte type shooter not just a guy that stands around and makes shots at a good clip of you pass it to them. He also said that while he projects him as a below average defender early in his career he praised his effort and he improved on that end. He also said Duke also runs NBA style offense so he might be more ready to play than some players in other systems.

Like someone else said we got a shooter and it seems like we never draft a shooter and to be honest shooting might be what this team needs more than anything maybe even ball handling. We will see what he can do. I'm not as enamored with guys that are young now but still he is just 20 and just because some guys are breaking through when they are older that doesn't mean some guys with potential do t have value because of it.

I'm off to watch some highlights. Lol

I was gonna say Ugonna could be our Mitch Robinson. But Houston grabbed him...

This is gonna be anti-climatic if we trade this pick. I want to know who our next 2-way is going to be!
