I would definitely take Shabazz over Booker. Bazz was insanely good before injury and until he levels off or regresses we would be foolish to be working on a replacement unless there was obviously more talent there.

Booker's a better defender and a way better shooter than Muhammad, though. If we actually had a choice between the two (we don't), I'd side with the 3/D guy.
Doesn't make me a Bazz hater. I love Bazz. I just think the 3/D guy is going to be better for the team aspect of basketball.
I'm not sure there's a perfect comparison for Winslow but if I had to pick one I think Harden is the closest, especially college Harden. Harden has really added 1 on 1 aspects to his game but if I'm remembering back correctly he was much more of a spot up shooter or he'd make quick drives to the basket. I don't think Winslow is quite the catch and shoot guy Harden was but his game revolves primarily around 3's and drives to the basket. I think the drives to the basket are what's really drawing the Harden comparisons, they look nearly identical. Both of them use slower longer strides with a lot of euro steps mixed in and they both have a head up approach and take contact through the chest on drives.

I don't brand you a hater for having an opinion, Bazz is easy to love. I don't think Booker has proven to be a way better shooter though. I think Bazz's offense is much more versatile than Booker's. Different roles on different college teams. Shabazz would have been a beast on this Kentucky team and probably would have shot 50%. Booker may end up being a good 3d guy as you suggest, but Bazz has already proven to have great potential as an all around scorer at the nba level. I go Bazz every time.
Look at Bazz's NBA line in his 38 games this year. It was insane. No way Booker shoots almost 50% in the NBA, he doesn't have the inside game.

I don't trust the 4th best player on a team to be much in the NBA. I would also rather have LaVine then Booker. I don't think his defense will translate as well due to his size. He is tall with short arms.

Here are Booker's numbers:

There's nothing all-around about Bazz's offensive game. It's all post-ups, offensive rebound put backs and transition buckets. He doesn't shoot many 3's, he doesn't have a good handle and he lacks the straight line speed to dribble drive to the basket well. Booker may not shoot 50%, but I see him as a 40% 3 pt shooter and I think he fits well in Flip's offense being able to shoot off of curls from anywhere.
6'6 wingspan for a guy who is 6'5 = short arms? That's above average for humans. Granted it may not be consider a long wingspan, but that's hardly short. idk.. just found that kinda funny. /shrug
My top 5
1. Towns - Fills a need, bit upside on both ends of the floor
2. Russell - I believe he'd be a fantastic combo guard. Do-it-all player offensively, high basketball IQ.
3. Winslow - 2-way player with a high floor and a high ceiling. The type of 2-way player that fits what we lack.
4. Okafor - Not as high on him as others are. This guy will quietly get you 20 a night and plays to his strengths offensively, lacks any range and defense, though.
5. Mudiay - Higher bust factor than many of these guys, but higher upside too. Not a very high need.
