The only thing I see him as is insurance for a DLo injury and that isnt worth 17mil.

He did a whole lot of nothing in the first half. I don't know how Jarrett Culver doesn't get in the starting lineup sooner rather than later either at the expense of Layman or Josh Okogie.

I agree. At this point I'd say Culver instead of Layman. Simply put, Layman isn't very good. He should be an end-of bench-guy you have in your roster in case of injuries.

Lip, Culver can't guard 4's

This staff would ask Okogie to defend the opposing fours and allow Culver to be a wing defender in that scenario.

Edwards would start before that happens

Blake Griffin must have forgot he was 6'9, 250 pounds. He's playing like a wing. I'd be livid if I was a Detroit fan.

Ryan's starting PF is now a -17, with NO points, assists or rebounds. And unimpressive defense. Maybe we need to get him more involved in the offense so we can take advantage of his career 31% 3-point shooting. Come on Ryan, set Sunshine up after this time out.

Layman clearly can't guard PFs either.

If both Edwards and Culver end up starting I can't really bench Beasley too. How bad would the defense be if we went with-

KAT
Culver
Edwards
Beasley
DLO

Layman with all zeros on the box score. Well except a +/- of - 17......
