Pistons vs Wolves GDT

Post by Wolvesfan21 »

The Wolves open up tonight as a 5.5 point favorite. 77% chance to win.

Besides a win I would love to see a nice opening season game from Edwards and Culver. Those two have the most upside and really will make or break the Wolves near term future.

Put a beat down on the pistons!

If Edwards doesn't get at least 15 minutes a game right out of the gate I am going to be irate

He might be around that mark, we have a lot of players that need minutes to dish out. It could simply come down to how well guys are playing or if it's a blowout. If Edwards is playing well he will probably get more run.

I actually think this is going to be really tough games. I didn't place a bet on the over but think they have a shot at it. I hate what they did for there future but Griffin is a year removed from All NBA, Rose still gets buckets, Grant is a good player, Plumlee is solid, Seku and Hayes are X factors.

Think this will be a good test early in the year.

Detroit is slated for the bottom of the east even with a healthy Griffin. They'd definitely be picked for the bottom of the West. It's the rookie PGs first game. Grant is... fine. Meh.

Russell and KAT are max players. The Wolves are healthy. They need to win these types of games because most will be vs. much better teams. I'm EXPECTING a win. I don't think that's a big ask.

Unless the Wolves are tanking they need to win this handily. But now that Glen is no longer selling the team maybe he's all in on another year of planning for the future.

This should be an easy win. The Wolves have more NBA-ready talent with a huge advantage in the backcourt. I expect a big game from Karl-Anthony Towns as usual, but D'Angelo Russell has a very attractive matchup with Detroit's guard group. He should light it up.

Dang! You guys are setting yourselves up for a HUGE let down! :)

Not that I am expecting a loss. But this team is a HUGE work in progress with an unproven head coach. I expect a win, but am more interested in what we look like, and what we might do to improve.

Yeah we should win, but I don't expect it to be pretty. It would be nice to be a game over 500 at the conclusion of the contest.

Might be a sparse crowd tonight -- traffic is going to be terrible in this snow storm!
