The guys willing to play tonight played hard. As you know we can give up 130 whether DLO plays or not.

100% just we have more issues then just dlo defense

I couldn't be happier for Wigs. He found a good fit in GS and they like him. Hope he continues to play well.

He gets to play to his strengths on both sides of the ball. I agree completely.

They've taken the pressure off him offensively at GSW and made him focus on defense. He's not a bad third options once Klays back.

You hit the nail on the head, Doper. Rosas and Ryan are the two problems - in that order. Like you, Jaden McDaniels is just about the only reason to watch this team and I sure hope he continues to get significant playing time after KAT returns. I also enjoy watching JMac and I like that Beasley is always attacking, playing hard and rebounding his position. But beyond those three, I don't see any reason to watch this team.

Yep. Cool and dope, We were the few here who supported wigs in his time here. It
sucks to see him do well with another team and finally contributing in ways we believed he could but never did here consistently.

Things like finally bulking up and taking advantage of his athletecism and length on defense and becoming a shot blocking wing defender.

He played with rubio and teague here. Steph really opened up his game. The warriors is a great fit for him. He used to be the guy that needed to create on the permieter and he had rubio and teague as his "floor spacers".

Abe's Early Morning DVR Review:

- I fell asleep multiple times watching this one last night. That's a shame. I probably missed some cool Curry things. Still saw the vast majority of the game though.

- Rubio came out aggressive... missed four shots in the first 2 or 3 minutes (all make-able) then quickly retreated into a shell of an offensive player who tried NOT to shoot. And once that happened, everything closed in on the Wolves offense. He has to be SOME type of threat to score.

- Rubio has 10 baskets in his last 8 games (10 - 42 fg). Seasoned, respected veteran players get more rope during slumps. But this has come at a very bad time for the Wolves.

- Meanwhile, Edwards was 4 - 13 fg. That puts him at 19 - 69 fg (28%) over his past 5 games. 12 - 13 on free throws in the past two is a great sign though. I also thought that despite 13 shots in 27 minutes, it looked like Edwards was thinking less about his own scoring than in previous games. It was almost like he was instructed to run through the set. The problem is... it was so robotic that it was clear that was his plan out there and when it happened, there's no real basketball stuff happening. A defender could have fallen down under the hoop and Edwards wouldn't have noticed, because he was programmed to run through the set.

That's a raw rookie. It's to be expected to some degree. Again... just a bad time for it as the team is struggling to find itself without Towns.

- McDaniels and Vanderbilt are so... bouncy. It's pretty fun to see such athletic guys out there. I think we know who Vanderbilt can be... high energy guy off the bench (think Kenneth Faried). I don't know on McDaniels yet. It's too early. This might be blasphemy for some, but my first thought was a quicker Eddie Griffin. Now, the rub is that Griffin was a head case who stagnated, or even regressed, as a pro. The other rub is just how good of a shooter is McDaniels? Is he a tall guy who will shoot three pointers... or a tall guy who's dangerous shooting three pointers?

- Fell asleep at the end of the 3rd. Awoke to start the 4th. Curry came in... and... well... that escalated quickly, huh?

- Culver and Okogie combined to shoot 0 - 2 over 30+ minutes... the Wolves last four 1st rd. picks combined to shoot 7 - 24 in this game.

- I didn't really see Wiseman out there much. But he looked overwhelming when the Wolves went small. He was too big. He moves well. Seems to have a decent enough shot. I didn't look close enough to see if there were any defensive lapses... which is allegedly why he was benched.

- What is interesting is how Charlotte and GSW are handling their rookies. Both players "got benched" yesterday. That's not really an option for Edwards right now. He's coming off the bench, and for units that really need his scoring. He's attacking just fine... his finishing is atrocious. It's probably just an anomaly and we'll all breath a sigh of relief when he goes from 40% at the rim to 60%+ later this season or next. I can't imagine he stays THIS poor at finishing. He's too big and too strong for that. Right?

- McLaughlin has his legs back. He's a fun kid and looks like he's a legit NBA backup point. He's also teetering close to "backup QB" territory on a bad team. I think we all like him. Would we all like him just the same if he was asked to do a lot more? In any case, the Wolves have an issue.

1. McLaughlin deserves minutes.
2. Russell is a veteran, the team's 2nd best player, making $27M+.
3. Rubio is a respected veteran, brought in THIS season, making $17M.
4. Russell doesn't like playing with Rubio.

Best case scenario, Russell is able to play with McLaughline and Rubio sops up the backup minutes? That's still not ideal and probably not sustainable. Despite his struggles, Rubio has been a starter for good teams, playoff teams very recently. There aren't many NBA guys who are going to suddenly accept 1/2 the minutes off the bench for the worst team in the league. Especially, if they have issues with one of the guys ahead of him in the lineup (sorta speculative).

That being said, Rubio needs to shoot better (and play better) to warrant much sympathy... or raise his value to get out of here.

- Wiggins looks "fine." Interestingly, all six of his rebounds were on the offensive end. He needed to go. That was obvious. But a few people at the time mentioned he would probably do better in GSW. Sometimes, a change of scenery is needed. And Wiggins needed that change as much as the fans and organization did. He seems to have landed in a very good spot.

- What does Jaylen Nowell need to do to get a little run?

"For sure it's different because everything here is organized," Wiggins said. "You know what you're doing every night, you know what you're getting yourself into, you know the minutes you're going to play, you know your rotation. There was a couple years like that in Minnesota where you know everything. I was with Coach Thibs [Tom Thibodeau]; Thibs was very organized. And Thibs was very clear; he was very straightforward."
