I'm with you on that I think Andrew is going to take a leap, who knows how big it will be but it won't be this flat line he's been standing on his whole career so far. He and towns have went from being the darlings of the NBA to being constantly mocked all over social media. You can see it in the vitriol responses by Wiggins to hate online. It's sad that this is what it took to light a fire under his ass but I do believe he's going to be a man on a mission now.

Wiggins is wet wood. There has never been any fire there and the internet isn't going to change that. If he cared half as much on the basketball court as he did on the internet, he'd almost be worth his contract and Butler might have been more likely to want to stay.

Butler is a bitch and he can go. I'd take Wiggins over Butler's hot air any day. At least Wiggins didn't sit on the bench for game 7 against the Rockets.

Doper haven't you been one of the main activists for the Butler trade since day one?

That's what I see too. I like it though. It's been a slow burn but he's made strides and worked hard every offseason. He gets way more blame for things beyond the work he has been doing.

I like that someone is getting at Wiggins at least. He needs someone to make him play hard at some point. I remember KG saying he had to motivate him to get him to try hard. Butler said it of course too. We don't see behind the scenes but when I hear that I believe it. He really can't be worse then he was last season.

I still think we're better off contract wise to not have Lavine's 18 million contract pushing us to the luxury tax if that helps you understand my thinking. The trade from my perspective wasn't about Butler long term, but retooling around our best assets (Towns and Wiggins) and keeping financial flexibility.

Stephen Jackson is a jackass.

And that's without knowing anything about his beef with Wiggins. He was a mercurial but woefully inconsistent player... was that because of a lack of talent, focus or something else entirely? I dunno. But it's pretty telling that he bounced from team to team to team throughout his career.

Now, he's a Skip Bayless-like personality on tv. Meh.

That was basically Wiggins' response. Pretty entertaining.

Thibs is a fucking idiot and needs to go. Never should have been hired. You don't hire someone back when they were a top coach and nobody hired him for over a year. There were reasons. Tom didn't want a sabbatical, he was forced to because everyone else but Glen Taylor knew he was washed out of this league trend. Its documented how he has no life outside of the NBA.

Minnesotan sports are cursed. We finally get back a good thing in Flip, he gets KG back with talks of him taking an ownership role, then flip dies, glen fucks the KG relationship and hires Thibs into a power role. Thibs goes on to fuck up Flips vision and we go back to the drawing board.

Okay, trade for Jimmy - then draft OG Anunoby who I said should be drafted. Not a fourth damn center in a league trending to diminish them.. Or just keep the pace and take a 7 foot marksmen in Lauri to complement our floor spacer in Zach.

So Stephen A. Jackson is gonna make Wiggins start diving for loose balls? Got it.

Financial flexibility for what? The free agent signing that we have never seen and won't ever see until we organically grow into something relevant??? We actually just created more animosity to coming here with this damn trade.

The warriors were present, LeBron was still alive. It was a Thibs saving trade, not an organization saving trade.

LaVine may never be great, but he at least can shoot a 3, was fine being the third option, and wouldn't impede Wiggins' growth. Oh, but defense... Has nobody realized that defense is marginalized. And if you wanted defense on the perimeter, put Dunn out there with Rubio..
