Any interest in Jonathan Isaac? Was cut by the Magic. Never recovered from that nasty ACL tear in 2020, but might be able to be signed for vet min.

Maybe Mayo Clinic can work their magic on him?

Interesting. I’ve been wondering why the Melo deal included Green instead of Grant Williams. One explanation is that the Wolves preferred an other wing over a PF or preferred Josh over Grant as a player for the Wolves next season. I doubt either was the case. In fact, I have to believe TC asked Charlotte to include Grant but was rejected and had to settle for Green. So why Green? TC must have seen Green as a more moveable alternative than any other options as part of the package. And the fact that the Wolves re-signed Clark confirms the likelihood that the Wolves intend (and always intended) to move Green at some point this summer. Meanwhile, Charlotte must be viewing Grant Williams as a nice defensive backup to their new starting PF, Naz Reid.

I would be very happy if O’Neal ended up getting routed to us with Green getting moved elsewhere. That would make a lot of sense and it would help shore up our front line with a guy in Royce who can both defend, rebound and spread the floor at the PF position.
If you are worried about McDaniels size or whatever at PF don't look at O'Neal's measurables or rebounding numbers. I think he would be a nice enough add to the group we have here especially with his ability to shoot the 3 but the guy isn't any bigger than some of our wings.
Agree, Monster. O’Neal would give us much-needed front line depth but he’s not the sort of size, toughness and rebounding that I think we need.

I sense the Wolves are targeting more of an offensive, floor-spreading PF as their primary remaining acquisition via a Josh Green trade. They might then look to the vet minimum for a rebounder with size. That’s not what I would do but that’s what I’m expecting. If they get Dean Wade then the Wolves front office and I will both be happy. If it’s Jovic, the front office will be happy but I won’t. If it’s PJ Washington but we give up TSJ, the front office will probably have mixed feelings but obviously be satisfied or they wouldn’t have made the deal. Of course, I would not be happy with that deal.

If they trade for Jovic, I’d feel better if we also signed Sochan and Drummond as vet minimum free agents. I’m beginning to think that’s the best move we can make if we can’t work out a sign-and-trade for Jovic. But as we all know, whatever happens will probably be something none of us saw coming. :).
The problem with acquiring Jovic is he has 4 years over 60 million left on his contract. He has a down year and even if he returned to what he was before I'm not sure I would want to add him for that money for that long. I'd rather take a chance on him than say Pat Williams because I have more hope that Jovic could be more useful or at least build back up his value partly because he just turned 23.

I will say that O'Neal would add toughness regardless of everything else or where he plays. He does play bigger than his measurements. I'll also add that he recently turned 33. Not old but something to consider at least a little.

Apparently the answer is yes he is looking to return. That's a good name to bring up. He seems to have become a solid all around player that like you said does a little of everything. If I remember right his advanced stats on defense were actually more than respectable. He might be a nice depth piece.

Nice find. I think I would have him in the top tier of available guys.

Absolutely not. Can’t have a religious extremist in that locker room

Why haven't I seen any love for Sandro! Landale has been mentioned a few times, but he should be further up the list. Trey Lyles was a nice find, too.

The Wolves have something interesting to offer other than money: playing time. It'll be interesting to see who is waiting on the doorstep at 5pm EDT on July 1st!

I think Sandro is at the top of everyone's list but it seems completely unrealistic to acquire him

Lip -- I have seen you mention a few times about acquiring a player via sign-and-trade, yet I thought that was one of the restrictions of being a 1st apron team: no acquiring a player via sign-and-trade. Did I read that wrong?
