Take any HOF QB and put them on the teams Bradford QB'ed and none of them would be in the HOF today. QB is the most important position in football, but unlike basketball he cannot lift a crap team on his own.

Tell that to Rodgers or Brady. Rodgers went down and they were pathetic, with him they are a SB contender. Put Bradford on GB and they would still suck.
QB is by far the most important, and eventually a good QB needs a winning record. If not, he's just not any good.

So the Vikings moves and losses.
Wright signed with the Panthers for a pretty decent contract and a bigger role.
Lamur signs with the Raiders I haven't seen what the contract details are yet. I had kinda forgotten he was a FA but he isn't a big loss.
Forbath I back on a 1 year deal. I think he is adaquete.
It looks like the Vikings have around 20 million in space yet give or take a couple milllion and space that signing draft picks. There is still some space to get a couple solid players and or use that space to lock up a young player long term. It's gonna be a challenge to keep all 3 of Diggs Kendricks and Barr but I think they could still do it.

Some FA's still available that would I would have interest in are:
Johnathan Hankins - DT - 26 years old - Linval Insurance
Tre Boston - S - 25 years old - Ball hawking safety
There was a KFAN about how they would rank Waynes, Diggs, Hunter, Kendricks, and Barr. I didn't catch it but I heard them debating Diggs and Waynes as most important. I would think Barr is the odd man out. I actually think this system is not the best for his skills. Could debate that for Hunter too. Both might be better as OLB in 3-4.

Yes we got him!!! There Vikings signed Tom Compton an olineman that's a local kid and played at South Dakota state. Seems like a Sirles type with versatility some experience but not a starter level player. Here is the best part he was in Sharknado 3!!!

Also he and Cousins are best friends.
Edit: Bleed had this on the oline thread.

I like the signing. How can you go wrong when you got those 3 things going for you.
I also like another local kid in the draft Frank Ragnow. He should be available in the 2nd or 3rd round as an option. He is from Chanhassen High School. His stock is a little down due to an ankle injury.

Yeah it was reported a couple days ago that the way he was leaning. Too bad but happy for him what a heck of a career for him.
Sirles Signed with the Panthers which seemed likely after we signed Compton. I'll be interested to see the money each of those guys got.
Tom Johnson signed with Seattle for a little over 2 million with some incentives that can get it a little higher. Honestly that feels like a bit of a bargain but I'm pretty happy with Richardson for the money we gave him. I think many people thought it would take a couple million more to get him.

Good for Tom Johnson. I feel like Richardson is a question mark on the defense. Will he be sold or a stud. Not a bad gamble, but if he is only solid would have been money we could have used to resign core guys and maybe have kept Wright.

Wayne's is the least valuable of those 4 IMO. Barr was back to his pro bowl self and he's the best option on the team to hang with these new RB as pass catching options. It's gonna be really tough. We need them all to be elite. Kirk better be worth it or we just threw away our contending status after this season for a 7-9 QB.
