Not that it means a whole lot, but Stanley won the Julius Erving award tonight for best SF in the nation.

And if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. So what?

My top 5:

1. Karl-Anthony Towns
2. Mario Hezonja

that's my list. To hell with everyone else in this draft.

I've been reading articles and I feel some writers have been unfair to Okafor. It's totally fine to rate Towns over him. You can site Towns being the better defender and rebounder as the reasons. Towns has a nice post game. He is a great prospect. I just find it odd that they talk up Towns ability for growth and they act like Okafor is maxed out and a finished product. They give Towns the benefit of the doubt on shooting range. Yes he made a handful of jumpers, but he wasn't hitting 20' shots consistently. I just have a hard time believing one prospect will stop progressing while the other has an unlimited ceiling.

Okafor has great size and strength. If he learns positioning and plays with good intensity on the defensive end, I see no reason for him not to be able to be a solid to good defender. Add that to his low post game and his beginning phase of his Duncan esq bank shot and I see him as a guy with the ability to be a perennial all star. That being said Towns may be better and a better fit. With young guys like Wiggins and LaVine showing the ability to score, we are probably better off getting the better defensive big. I agree Towns has the higher ceiling because he has shown more on offense than Okafor has on defense.

Sorry for all the rambling. I just have a hard time seeing 19 year old kids as being remotely finished products. We will be lucky to land either big man in my opinion.

Devin Booker had the worst height to wingspan ratio of players here, registering a 6'6.25:6'6.25. Booker's 35.5 inch vertical leap doesn't jump off the page either, but it's the freshman's shooting and skill level that propelled him to rank among the nation's best high schoolers a year ago, not his athletic prowess.
