I like Russell as my #2 prospect I just like everything about his game, I think he will have a good synergy with the players we have on our roster being able to play both off ball with Rubio or on ball with Lavine at the off guard.

Another note I was just thinking about if we wound up falling to 4 or traded down and ended up with WCS, would it be plausible to play both WCS and Dieng on the floor at the same time? I dunno

The more I watch Towns the more I think he is the best fit for us. He reminds me a lot of Bynum, and the good part is he isn't injury prone or nuts. He has great touch and plays with good intensity. He is going to have to cut down on the fouls though. If we either we or the 76ers don't get the first pick, then it's all a moot point. And who is to say if the 76ers get the first pick that they don't trade Noel. Towns will be the first pick, I think if he went to a school where they didn't have 7 NBA prospects then there wouldn't be much debate.

Okafor and Russell are great consolation prizes though. If Okafor ramps up the intensity he can be MVP caliber. He has the potential to be Tim Duncan offensively. He is developing that bank shot and already has a plethora of post moves. He has the size, strength, and ability to be a plus defender and rebounder. I just think he needs more fire for that end of the court. He is only 19 so the book on him is hardly closed.

I like having a top 4 pick. I think we are locked into a very good player anyway you look at it.

What makes Duncan so elite (Shaq became a terrific passer) in the post isn't just his moves and ability to score it's his ability to pass out of the post. Okafor has a long way to go there from what I saw in the tourney. He could improve but that's something he needs to get a lot better at before he becomes an elite post guy. I'm being hard on him but you did compare him to Duncan. :)

I actually think both Towns and Okafor are well above average (for their age) in passing out of the post and out of double teams.

The Towns/Bynum comparison, however, is a bad one in my estimation. Towns has the potential to be way more affective/versatile than him. Bynum was also close to 300 lbs.

I really don't see them trading Noel at this point. He was 1st in steals and 3rd in blocks after the all star break, and potential is unlimited on that end. If you had read that article on Hinkie you would know he is building with defense in mind first. I think Noel and Embiid will work great together, but judging by some of the things said last year about Embiid, I think he would go before Noel.

As far as who he's going to take, I think it'll be Mudiay or Hezonja really.

I'm with you on Russell being #2. When you watch him play you just sense he will be a big time player.

With Dieng's vastly improved offensive game I definitely think that he could play with WCS. Pek and KG starting with Dieng and WCS off the bench wouldn't be too shabby.

Can't pencil Pekovic in anywhere right now. Also, I think WCS would start immediately.

My opinion is that WCS will be a good player, but we would be buying high on him in the top ten. I see him as a guy that won't stick with his first team. Or he will MKG all over. Solid player, but I wouldn't trade a top 10 pick for him. (Btw- MKG and WCS are the same age and MKG out scored and rebounded WCS in his only year in college.)

Now I didn't say Okafor is Tim Duncan, I said I see Tim Duncan like potential. Meaning if he fully hits I think that's his ceiling will be offensively. I agree with Cam that both Okafor and Towns are great passers and both have great hands. As far as the Bynum comparison, I'm going off of what I've seen in college. I'm not going to project skills that I haven't seen in games on a regular basis. Now his free throw shooting suggests he may develop a good mid range face up game. That aspect wasn't seen much in college, so based off what I've seen in games Bynum is my comp. Bynum at his peak was excellent. Nothing wrong with Towns being that.

If Pek doesn't get injured this summer he is our starting C next year unless we get Towns or Okafor. His recovery isn't supposed to carry over into next season. He's on the team so he's penciled in somewhere because he makes 12 million dollars. No chance WCS would start over him, but I could see us starting WCS at the 4 next to him.
