Mike Brown fired 18 months after winning COY
Their season reminds me of what happened to the Wolves in '13-14 when they lost all those close games and went 40-42 and their Pythagorean (i.e. expected) record was 48-34. The Kings are currently 13-18 with an expected record of 17-14. They are 9th in offense and 15th in defense, arguably better than the Wolves!
Now is that bad coaching or just bad luck? As I maintained a decade ago (!), I believe it's more a function of bad luck.
The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed on a trade sending D’Angelo Russell, Maxwell Lewis and three second-round picks to the Brooklyn Nets for Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton

DLo will feel very accepted and comfortable with the Nets...they have not one but two guys named Cam in their starting lineup

The trade allows Brooklyn to shed ~ 19M off their books at the end of the season, as DFS had a player option next year for over $15M and Shake Milton is signed into next year as well. DLO's deal expires after this season. I doubt Brooklyn actually believes DLO is a key pillar of their team going forward.
KAT had 30 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists in another Knicks win tonight without Brunson. The Knicks are now 14 games over .500. The Wolves are 2 games over .500. Oh, and the Wolves are still over the second apron with the second highest payroll in the League.
Sad news for the Pistons, Wolves and Jaden Ivey last night as Ivey was carried off the court on a stretcher with what looked like a severe leg injury. The Pistons have won 6 of their last 10 and were moving closer to a record that would give the Wolves their first rounder this season. But if Ivey is out for an extended time, that now seems unlikely.
Does Wendell Moore Jr. pick up a lot of Ivey's minutes? That doesn't make me feel any better about our chances of getting that pick.
