I remember you last year talking him up a lot here and telling posters to watch out for him and how good he is. What the hell happened to him? Your from florida, maybe some insight on him..

He's got a ton of talent, mainly because of his physical gifts, but he's just not all there mentally. He struggled getting into UF because of the same reason, and then couldn't force his way into the bulk of minutes for a weak Gators lineup last season. I don't think he'll get drafted, honestly.

Would anyone be surprised if Flip took Jahlil Okafor number one, then traded up for Tyus Jones in the mid-first round? Probably not, and it would be a cool thing just because they decided to play for Duke together, won a ring together and then get drafted to the same team. Also, Jones is a hometown guy. Many reasons why it'd be a good story.

Question: how high do some of you see Jones' ceiling? Could he potentially push Rubio to the bench? Is he just a second unit guy? I have my own thoughts, but I think it'd be something worth discussing.

I really don't see him as a guy who could push Rubio to the bench, but I see the potential for him to be a damn good player. Someone who can be a mainstay in the rotation. Someone who could run the team without us missing much if Ricky goes down again. The kind of quality depth player the best teams seem to have.

The main knock on the guy is his size, but he definitely could push Ricky. His numbers in college are only a tier below CP3's freshmen campaign and you'd have to think he could have bumped them higher if he wasn't playing with two top 10 picks. You have to like the clutch/gamer gene he showed in the tournament taking over games when they needed him to. I think he could be slotted in the tier below the stars like CP3 and Westbrook with the likes of the Lillard's and Lawson's. I think that's good enough to push Ricky and possibly make him expendable if he doesn't improve. Tyus is just a good PG. He may not be a great PG, but in the second half of the draft you aren't really shooting for great, but rotation level with starting potential.

I like Tyus what I saw of him in the tourney. I think he does have starting PG potential. That's such a loaded position now in the league.

Backup PG is a spot we need to address at some point but I wonder if we did get a C with the first pick what if we traded up and drafted a PF prospect? Maybe we round out the future starting 5 in this draft? I know Cam likes Portis and DX has him at 16 right now in their mock and I know there are some Kaminsky fans. Are there any other PFs you would like to trade up to get?

A guy I like but I don't know what he is or is going to be because of his role for UK is lyles. He is very fluid for someone that size. He might not be a good pick for the Wolves but I am going to be interested in his career.

I wouldn't hate trading up and drafting Montrezl Harrell in the late first round at all. He's going to give you defense, rebounding, energy and grit. He's got a limited ceiling because of what he can, or rather cannot, do on offense, but he's one of those Taj Gibson guys who helps your team. He's got a freakish 7'4 wingspan to compensate for his 6'8 with shoes height. Toughness as well.

Oh, and he's an improving free throw shooter, which is promising. Went from 46% to 60% in his last two years at Louisville.

Cam I'm not convinced Harrell is a first rounder. Saw him a lot this year, and he just didn't represent.

The final 5 teams remaining in the NBA rank 1,2,4,5 and 7 in 3 point attempts (not makes, attempts).

Ugh.

I'm getting more convinced we are going to have 2 first rounders in this draft, by trading our two second rounders for a late first. The teams at the end of the first round are winning teams, which means their rosters are more set than the Wolves. Getting a couple second rounders without guaranteed contracts that they can stash overseas to see if they pan out is more attractive to these teams than a late first rounder. The Wolves, on the other hand, still have a lot of holes, and after choosing BPA with their first pick can target a specific need with the late first rounder. Ford says we are working to get another late first rounder, and it makes a lot of sense to me.

If we are able to draft Towns with our first pick, I think Flip might target a back up PG with his second pick...a great defensive PG like Delon Wright might fill the bill here. If he ended up with Okafor or Russell, he could look at one of the many PF's who could be available late in the first...Harrell, Wood, Martin or McCollough.

I like Tyus Stones, Portis, and Lyles,

I think Stones could be anything from Bobby Jackson to Steve Nash. Just is a clutch player. I think he could certainly start in time.

Portis was someone I liked last year and he decided to come back. I think he will flat our be solid and we don't need a star. We need a lunch pail worker to do the dirty work.

Lyles seems like he could be a Lamar Odem type. Do a little of everything without the headcase in him.

If we picked up laste first and had a choice between Stones and Portis. It would be a tough choice. If we went big I would go Stones. If we got Russell, I would still want Stones, but really lean hard to Portis.
