As one of our max players proves annually, a high ceiling is meaningless without the drive go reach it.

Some players with a strong work ethic and IQ can reach past their ceiling. I'd put my money on that happening before I'd put it on that other guy reaching his!

Did Wig nail your wife or something?

No, but his apathetic attitude and max contract are fuckng my team over.

I nominate that comment for Post of the Year.

Read what? I don't care what he or anybody else says, his performance speaks for itself.

Then let his performance speak for itself. Your takes on the subject are repetitive and tired.

Just ignore sp cool. Im tired of his negative posts about wig constantly whether the topic is about wiggins or not. He doesn't contribute much anyways and his jokes are bad.

I have, and it's spoken loud and clear. My takes on the subject are surely reflective of the fact that I am tired of his repeated lack of improvement, much less appearing to not give a shit about it.

From a Lip post in the Wiggins thread:

"I feel like (2018-19) was an OK season," Wiggins told reporters in April. "Not the best, not the worst. It was OK. ... Just going up. Just getting better. That's the main thing, just not downgrading."

If he thinks last season was remotely OK then he clearly doesn't understand the value of his max contract and the rightful expectations that it comes with!

Cool has admitted in the past he comes here and vents. SP is venting about Wiggins. We all drone on about the same things from time to time. This is a place for all of us to come and process as fans. We are gonna get fired up from time to time.

As for the Wiggins doesn't care...personally I think he does care maybe not enough (yes I'm probably being too kind) but do you think that guys like Sam mitchell a guy that is competitive as all get out who scratched and clawed his way into the league and still combative is gonna stuck up for a guy that doesn't care? Taj Gibson is a Wiggins guy. Thibs seems to ONLY care about basketball when the season starts and he played Wiggins a ton. He isn't a star mentally but I don't think he just doesn't give a shit. Regardless the outcome isn't/hasn't been good enough.

But here is the reality (IMHO)during a down time where the only thing to talk about is the team hanging out in the Bahamas...there is nothing new to talk about with Wiggins or Culver. We have hashed all the facts and opinions and past performances or whatever. Let's see these guys do something on the court and go from there. Enjoy the offseason folks watch some Twins games or worry about what offensive lineman will get injured and implode the Vikings season... There will be time later to put Culver under a microscope or eviscerate Wiggins. I'm trying to follow my own advice and having a bit of success.

I don't turn every thread into a platform to bang the same drum. Yes we all have our pet peeves, likes and dislikes. But the anti Wiggins rhetoric by SP is beyond that. NOBODY is defending Wig at this point. Most agree with what SP is saying. I think expectations are now pretty low. Nothing really to say about it anymore. Let's see what happens.

Is it to early to consider him a bust? Or to late and the rest of the league knows already?

Isn't this thread about Culver? I wish we could see him play some more ball. I'm keeping my expectations tempered. Hopefully he can hit the 3 at a decent rate. I am not expecting him to be a PG at all.
