It's a TALL order, but one thing this team has is more talent, but they have to utilize it.
It's too bad Ant couldn't find his way until game 4.

Ant did tonight what star players do - 29 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, hitting big shots, defending. And he’s only 22. He and KAT showed up and we won. That’s the formula for pushing this series to 7 games.

If KAT had played this way in the prior games the Wolves would be up 3-1 even with Ant not playing particularly well before tonight.

Full credit to the team for pulling through.

Considering it was 5 vs 8.

I didn’t think I’ve ever been so frustrated with the officiating. Those two fouls on Doncic 3pt attempts (especially the last one) were beyond a joke.

And watching the pogo stick pin ball Gafford get away with foul after foul was painful to watch. Meanwhile are bigs are constantly in foul trouble.

Credit once again to the team for pulling through that BS. Hopefully we get at least parity back at Target Center with the officials.

Foster should be investigated.

Not sure if this came up earlier in the game thread, but it looked like the strategy was to put Jaden on Kyrie and use more of a team approach to slowing down Luka. Smart move. It feels like it's tough to slow down Luka no matter who you put on him, so it's sub-optimal to put your best defender on him if he's just going to dice you up anyway. Kyrie on the other hand can be impacted by a great individual defender. He had a miserable game largely thanks to Jaden.

I've never seen such a maddening mix of skillfulness and stupidity in one player.

Kyrie no longer undefeated in closeout games.

I think they realized it doesn’t matter what they do to Luka so there best chance is to make Kyrie struggle.

Exactly. And it seemed like when Ant was guarding Luka, he was mostly funneling him versus trying to get up all in his grill and being super physical, which doesn't really work with him.

May be, just may be they are starting to figure things out a bit defensively??
