Jake layman and Hernagomez have total of 22 pts in 4 games and 18 rebounds.
You can't tell me Vanderbilt and Mcdaniels can't do that already

Think we are really seeing the issue with Ryan/Rosas system when Kat is out. Opposing teams don't have to defend the inside at all. Wolves have nobody that can put pressure on the defense. Ricky can drive but is a poor finisher. Naz can roll hard but is more of a undersized stretch 5 so on rolls he gets blocked a lot. Dlo is a straight jump shooter so he puts no pressure on the defense. Beasley is bad at attacking the hoop. Edwards has fallin in love with his jumper and 3s are celebrated in this "system" so why not keep trying them.
The thing Vanderbilt and to some extent Ed Davis bring is they are going to put pressure on the offensive glass. The issue is for some reason they can only play the 5 in the system. So on D they are undersized and can't protect the rim and they are out there by themselves trying to rebound.
Legit hate this system. In theory it could work with Kat because he can put pressure on the D, but even then don't it's not a good system

If this team plays awful on Friday against the fucking Wizards... it's a wrap. I'll hit the panic button then.

They could, but I really hope they bring McDaniels along slowly. I'd hate to see them ruin a guy with that much natural ability by breaking his spirit before he's ready. But I would start giving him short stints during the competitive phase of the game and see how he handles it.

If he's not figuring it out already, then he'll find out then that he needs a grown man's body to have a chance at success. He's long, but he's also too little.

That's what I mean, he's not really ready for prime time yet. He's a kid in a man's game. But he has a terrific frame to work with. He should be living in the weight room and drinking a lot of milkshakes.

Andrew Wiggins at five-years, $148M... Too soon?
Yes back when we had the most promising young roster in the league, a high profile Coach/Pobo, and an owner that would look a young star in the eye and say "earn that money". Simpler times.
Re: A1 From Day 1? - Wolves @ Clippers GDT
A few thoughts, largely echoing the thoughts of others on this board:
1. Juancho continues to confirm the view most of us had that Rosas really screwed up giving him that contract. As many of us thought at the time, Juancho is an and-of-bench player who should be playing for the NBA minimum.
2. Okogie is more valuable to this team than a lot of people realize or acknowledge. There's a reason he's been starting and his absence is clearly having a negative impact on this team.
3. Culver's shot isn't fixed. Going 0-10 was a rude awakening for many of us (myself included) who thought he might have turned the corner. I still like him and he deserves praise for pulling down 10 boards tonight. But 0-10 from the field is unacceptable. Well, at least he didn't miss any free throws.
4. KAT is a great player and we're seeing just how horrible this team is without him. Remember that Butler didn't get this team into the playoffs by himself a few seasons ago. No player, except maybe LeBron can do that. KAT, even at 21/22 years old back then was instrumental in getting the Wolves to the playoffs as our #2 guy and one other all-star behind Butler.
5. If KAT is out for the 2-3 months that all the medical websites identify as the recovery time for a "mild" wrist dislocation, then we had better hope we can replicate something close to last year's lottery lock and end up in the top 4. Because without KAT for 2 months (or even a month) I don't see how this Wolves team makes the playoffs in the West.
