Yeah we have no long term answer but we have a decrepit Garnett, a spaz and heavily invested in Payne, as well as $7 million dollar man Bennett, not to mention my favorite Bejilica (probably won't come here but fingers crossed), oh and the swiss army knife Hummel.

I'm not sure Flip or anyone else can sell me on spending our assets on a late lottery- mid first round PF. We should use those assets on a PG or a starting quality PF.

So that's what I meant when I said he wouldn't make sense.

Ok I get where you are coming from with a lot of guys invested in the position but I will say you can get a good player at that spot in the draft.

Bobby Portis > Adreian Payne > Anthony Bennett > Robbie Hummel

Oh, and Portis has KG-fever, which wouldn't be a bad thing considering the 39-year old is still around.

I actually didn't mean to have Hummel that far down in the "greater than chain". I just forgot about him because... he's an afterthought.

The summary is a bunch of statisticians came together with their own models they use to project NBA performance and overall it went: Russell, Okafor, Towns as the 1-3 guys after averaging the placing's of each model. 3 models projected Russell first and Okafor and Towns each won a different model. The initials below are the models of each of the contributors and DX-100 is their draft express rating with diff being the differential between this list and DX.

I had my usual Tuesday morning men's group this morning, and I sat next to my friend who is a minority owner. I was ready to pick his brain, but it turns out I didn't have to. The guy sitting on the other side of him (an ex-Laker, by the way...you wouldn't know him, even before my time!) asked him right away who Flip is going to draft. My friend said he was with Glen and Flip within the past couple days touring the new facility, and Flip is still currently leaning Okafor. But he said it's far from a final decision, and that there are clearly 4 candidates. That kind of alarmed me...I wonder if the 4th is Porzingis or Mudiay. So, not much new there.

He did say that Flip has been impressed with the workouts of the potential second rounders they have brought in. The new facility has a spacious, gorgeous locker room that the T-Wolves will use, and another smaller one that they stuck the workout guys in. I found that kind of amusing...they're telling these guys they need to earn the NBA!

He also said that Flip still wants to bring his Big 4 in for interviews and workouts, despite what Okafor has said. My friend plans to attend the workouts, and I asked him if he could bring me as a guest. He said maybe...I'll keep you guys in the loop. It's a long way from the old days when the tryouts were held in the Arena Club gym, and even though they pulled a curtain around the court, members could watch the tryouts from the running track above. I distinctly remember how clumsy Paul Grant was, and how shocked I was when we drafted him. And I remember how blown away I was with a Canadian PG with greasy hair...he was spectacular in his workout. That was the Allen/Marbury year, so I wasn't advocating for Nash at 5 (he eventually went 15th), but I wasn't surprised either when he became a star.

That report scares me LST. Hasn't Towns emerged as the clear front runner?
