If we kept both seconds I'd definitely take a flyer in Cliff Alexander. He was a lottery talent before the season and was probably the highest ranked 4 in the draft at the beginning of the year. He struggled against length, but he brings toughness and rebounding and he's only 19.

He was ranked 2nd up until July. Wow what a fall.

Hearing that Towns has moved ahead now on Flip's board. Even been mentioned on Twitter that there may be a guarantee.

15 days until the draft. Might as well be 2 years.

I certainly hope they pick Towns, but I could see that if they were happy with taking Okafor or Russell for that matter, this could be used to maybe generate some smoke and trade offers. I don't really think it would work though, since I believe most GMs would consider the Wolves to be complete idiots to not pick Towns.

If the 76ers actually do take Porz at #3....I would be calling the Knicks in a New York minute trying to acquire Russell. And If Rubio is up on the block, I would be offering him up quickly. I feel the Knicks are the only team we could be trade partners with. Rubio, Budinger, Rights to Bjelica, #31 for #4 (Russell), Calderon, future 2nd and Filler of any kind.

Im CRAZY ;-)

Problem is Russell would be perfect for the Knicks triangle offense.

Cool, I'm afraid if the Knicks don't make big moves, that this new regime in Phil Jackson and DFish will be run out. Carmelo has a ton of role players around him. He will demand some kind of star power move....not sure Rubio is enough, but he would give them name recognition, experience and flash.

If they can get another big name via Free agency...they are onto something.

But a roster for the Wolves of.

Russell, Calderon, Brown
Martin, LaVine, FA
Wiggins, Bazz, Hummel
Towns, KG, Bennett
Pek, Dieng, Payne

It would take at least Rubio, Martin, Bjelica, and Dieng to get the 4th pick from the Knicks and I would do it in a second if Russell is available.
