Zach Parise has played on a roll his entire career. He never gives less than 100% effort no matter what the circumstance. He's a special all around person and athlete. Parise also had the benefit of being close with many players on the team, living near family and being from here, and having been a part of the organization for a couple years. Thad Young was new to the team, the state, and is away from most of his family all the time. The two people and factors in their respective circumstances and losses are inherently different.
Yes, I do agree Parise's response is the one we should hope to see, because it means the person is drawing some sort of strength from such a trying experience, and on the surface is appears to be a more positive response, but to say a different response is tantamount to quitting or leaving your team in the lurch is questionable.
I'm saying this as a general statement and not to anyone specifically. I have no qualms picking apart Thad's game, but to pick at Thad the person, especially in the context of this season, is disingenuous.
