Mmmm, this is coming from someone that once took the time to dig up an old thread and find a quote I made to throw it back in my face (something about Budinger and Wiggins, I can't remember exactly) in the name of "accountability".

Frankly, any outsider that came here and discovered a bunch of people chatting about one of the worst franchises in professional sports history would probably suggest that none of us have enough to do.....

I wasn't picking on Cam for thumping his chest on the Towns matter. I was simply commenting on how much time it must have taken to read 178 pages of posts. I may have researched something in the past to make a point, but I can assure you it didn't take more than a couple minutes to find.

I think with this exchange I am going to bid my farewell to the board. I've made a lot of cyber friends on here, but the resentments that have also been created have taken much of the fun away. To anyone I have wrongly offended, I'd like to sincerely apologize for those actions. I'd also like to thank you for all the intelligence you have brought to these discussions. It has been a great forum to share opinions and ideas. Unfortunately for me it has also proven to have a shelf life. I've basically worn out my welcome.

Take care, I'll be rooting as hard as ever and can't wait to see what happens with this group. Maybe we will cross paths on another platform some day.

I understand if you decide to move on but I hope maybe at some point maybe after some time away you will be able to come back. I appreciate your perspective.

I am not saying I am the most well behaved person in the history of the internet, but when it comes to all these "draft threads", I would say that some of you guys tend to gravitate towards glitz, and you tend to put too much stock in the non-conference production versus the conference/tournament games, rather than vice-versa.

Poeltl is a perfect example. Yes, he is 7'1". Yes, he can walk and chew gum without tripping. But pull up their box scores. He didn't really face any other strong center prospects, and he had a horrible tournament, and since some of you spend a great deal of time discuss age, he's a year (well, 5 months) older than Sabonnis. To me, Poeltl is the next Luc Longley. Way too much attention for production against future fast food managers. Anybody on here impressed with Shawn Bradley? Well, Bradley used to KILL Longley.

1. It took 30 seconds to find this thread despite it being one year old.

2. I didn't read every page. I never said that I read it "cover to cover." I read about 10 pages back and then picked a random page number from earlier in the thread to see what we as a group were talking about (page 93, if you must know).

3. It was like 10:30 at night on a Tuesday as I was ending my day when I was doing all of this super difficult digging. The italics are sarcasm. What do you think I ought to be doing instead?

If you never read this retort, I still wish you all the best, Cool. We've butted heads numerous times (some your fault, some my fault), but I think you're one of the more important posters here because of how opinionated you are and I enjoyed debating with you for the most part. Perhaps you can take a break from the board and return sometime before the draft. Taking a break from this isn't a bad thing at all, but as most would probably agree, we hope you return at a later date if you really are leaving.

Yeah...one of my best friends is a popular culture and fandom scholar. Its interesting to hear what people are really interested in and what comes of it. A lot of people spend time on some things that others would find moderately interesting at best.

This is a pretty good community here and sometimes we get off on our tangents and I think a lot of us like to be right about something and don't like to be wrong. :)

Heh, indeed, I know a lot of folks that would find our collective interest in the T-Wolves quite a peculiarity!

I think he essentially did that with his goodbye statement, except without the numbers!
