Yes! Now you're talking baby! Love it - a ready made defensive 3&D wing. Hopefully he's gives us what we had hoped we were going to get with Okogie and Culver.
Wow we got my guy! I actually think Inwoikd have picked TyTy instead but maybe the Wolves see some more typical PG types possibly being available in the 2nd round.
If you would have told me before the draft that Minnesota would end up with the rights to Wendell Moore Jr. and Walker Kessler, I would have been elated. Those are two proven collegiate players who play a winning brand of basketball and theoretically fit alongside the rest of the Wolves' core -- namely Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns. They're both gritty, tough, energetic, and play with a lot of passion. Minnesota got better tonight.

Everyone knew we needed a big with size to protect the rim and rebound better than what's on our roster outside of Towns (we don't have an intimidator at the rim to change shots currently). Additionally, given we were sniffing at Capela and Gobert, we knew they wanted a true more traditional center of sorts (even if they are more mobile) to get playing time with and backing up Towns. The nice thing about this move is that it helps us keep our roster salary balanced. Tilting the salary cap toward multiple bigs is probably not a great recipe for success these days, and this move helps us alleviate that so Russell can be dealt (perhaps with Naz?) to get another guard perhaps, or a wing that can open space for another guard pickup.
I just watched some highlights of him and he looks pretty solid to me. I'll have to look into him more but Just watching a bit I'm not sure I prefer Mark Williams over him.

I agree, I actually like Kessler quite a bit and think he could be looked back on as quite the value at #22.
Houston's had the best draft tonight. My goodness. Top talent is falling in their laps at every selection. Jabari Smith, Tari Eason, and now TyTy Washington.

It will be interesting to see what future 2nds they gave up but I'm really liking what they have done and they still have 3 more picks to go.
