Maybe he knew Kawhi was tired or something and wanted to get those timeouts in before he lost them but I would ha wanted to just keep going. Nurse has been terrific though but I wasn't a fan of that move but there is obviously some logic to it.
Credit the Warriors for extending the series one more game.
That was a terrible call in my opinion, although I put more of the blame of this overall series on Lowry. With the exception of one game he's been awful for a 2nd option and his fouls are continually terrible. Raptors better hope Siakam steps up, or that Danny Green/Van Fleet type combo can give them a big lift to help Leonard

That sucks about KD. Him going down sends a lot of dominos in motion that change the landscape of the NBA during the finals and offseason.

I thought Kyle Lowry played very well in the second half.
He was 6 - 10 fg in the 2nd half... and his isolation success vs. Cousins on the switch is what initially got Toronto back in the game. Not really sure why the guy gets SO MUCH heat.
I just heard Russillo on the Simmons podcast say Lowry played terribly... but that Danny Green had moments.
Lowry - 18 points / 6 ast / 2 TO / 50% = Terrible
Green - 4 points / 0 ast / 1 TO / 29% = had moments.
Lowry is posting similar stats to what he did all season. Maybe it's about expectations. Not really sure why people believe he's a 20/10 sort of guy anymore. He's a 14 and 6/8 guy who does a lot of little things... but won't take over games very often.

I thought Lowry was good last night outside of his continued dumb fouling. You're gonna get called if you throw a shoulder into a guy coming through the lane to get open. Kawhi really didn't take over until that 10-0 run and it was Lowry getting to the rim that was getting them into the game to give Kawhi a chance to make that run. Siakam needs to play better if they want to win. He should be their 3rd consistent guy if they want to win this series and he's been a ghost in 2 of the games so far. When the Warriors go small he's the mismatch on the floor and needs to take over more.

Agreed. I would state that Lowry was the only guy making plays and keeping Toronto in game early in 2nd half. He is exactly the type of bulldog, attacking guard the Wolves are lacking.
Kawhi was brutal for a long stretch, and his continued iso play almost killed Toronto last night. I love watching Toronto when they keep everyone involved.....but it gets brutal to watch when they start doing hand-off to Kawhi at 1/2 court and just have him do everything. Some games Kawhi can get it done, but that team is so much better when they move ball around. That's when you see Van Fleet, Lowry, Green and Gasol all start making plays.
And yeah, Siakam has shown both extreme talent, and an extreme need to become a better overall basketball player in this series. He is going to be a very good player, but he has a long way to go from a consistency standpoint. Will come with experience.

Lowry has been the guy getting fouls called on him when the Raptors for the most part have been pretty physical with GS and it's being allowed. It was called tighter in the first half of this game but it's beenpretty physical. I'm not suggesting Lowry hadn't had a couple bad fouls hr the guy has been super aggressive (as has been lots of Raptors players and I don't think I want him to dial it back much especially with FVV available to play. I agree with Abe and others Lowry has been playing well. He doesn't have to be a stud offensive player on this team. Instead he basically does all kinds of stuff. The guy is tough plays his butt off and is actually talented.

Maybe because Lowry is smaller, it's more noticeable when he's riding a guy vs. somebody like Gasol... who I swear is fouling 35x per game.
Draymond Green is right there with him.

I don't know why this series has been criticized so much in the media. I think it's finally a competitive final with riveting story lines. Yes it's sad that KD has been out but I've really enjoyed the basketball even with the fouling. I think it's going to go 7 which is going to be insane.

Klay being out I thought might diminish this but GS bright it down the stretch and didn't get the benefit of calls the last few minutes IMO and even thought he end was played out forever it was a heck of a game and very entertaining series. Gotta love guys like FVV showing up big like he did on the biggest stage.
