Flip's the GM (and Coach)...so, I'm not sure who could possibly have more accountability of our situation than him. Granted, we've had some injuries. But Flip assembled the roster (and coached it to last place).
And as far as getting Wiggins....nobody likes Wiggins more than me (check my posts!). But it's not like Flip fleeced anybody to get him. Love was/is a very, very good player. If Bennett had turned into something, I'd be singing Flip's praises. But really - Flip traded Love for Wiggins. It was a good/fair trade for both teams. I don't see it as one sided in Flip's favor especially when you consider he took on most of the risk (Love was known/established talent where as we hoped Wiggins would become as good or better than Love).
Love for wiggins, Bennett, Thad was a great haul.
Compare that to the kg and al Jefferson trades. Flip maximized value on a guy who has the option to opt out after this year... If I remember right KG trade was contingent on him signing a long deal and we didn't get half the value back for him.
We got a young All-Star, some good prospects and some picks. Out of the trade both Al and Green are still in the league. Gomes and Telfair played in the league a whiel after leaving us. Not horrible, but pretty good. I think everyone feels we should have helped out for Rondo over Telfair.

Well, I consider the Thad deal as separate (for our 1st round pick). As far as Bennett, it's starting to not look good for him working out. So again, it was really Love for Wiggins. I think Flip did fine considering Love was somewhat forcing the deal. But at the end of the day, we were a 40 win team last year with Love and are on track for half that this year. My point being it wasn't a one sided "win" for Flip. We are not a better team now than we were last year. Maybe next year we will be. Maybe. But Flip incurred all the risk because we have to hope Wiggins becomes a better player than Love was/is.
Neither team was fleeced. They both got what they wanted, BUT when you consider the situation Flip was in with Love... Yeah, that's the single greatest star-forcing-his-way-out trade of the past decade and a half that I can remember. Significantly better than Denver - Melo, OKC - Harden, Orlando - Dwight, Boston - Rondo, New Orleans - CP3, Utah - Deron Williams and even Minnesota - KG; Jefferson.
All things relate to how Wiggins progresses, but none of those teams got nearly the hope/potential we got from the Love trade. That's why Flip's a winner to me.

Kevin Garnett never forced his way out of Minny. He was much more loyal to the Wolves than fans were to him.. Truth be told.

Huh? It wasn't even our pick, it was MIA's. Even if you want to look at it as separate deals (when it was actually a 3 team trade) then it becomes Love for Wiggins & the MIA 1st.

If that's all you got from my post, you clearly missed the point I was making.
And I'm still a big KG fan to this day. I've never felt any hatred or disliking towards him. One of the coolest memories of KG I have is when he finally won a ring, and did it with Boston, he said "Anything is possible!" And right after, he said something along the lines of "this is for you too Minnesota." Thought it was so genuine and respectful. He didn't need to show love to us there, especially on that stage, but he did.

Anything but the number 1 and I make that deal. The Greek freak is a starting SF in this league going into year 3 next year which is usually the year guys really show who they are going to be. It's an opportunity to not lose any potential for stardom with a more seasoned player. A Ricky/Wiggins/Giannis starting 3 will be the cream of the crop of perimeter defense in the league. Giannis also hit almost 35% from 3 last year which isn't great but if he can get back to that level working off the ball combined with Wiggins at around 37% gives us at least respectable 3 pt shooters around Ricky. Henson always seems to put up decent stats in starters minutes, but just never seems to get the nod which I think he should here as a great fit next to Pek. A starter/ potential star and a rotation player would be a fair deal for a 2-5 pick if they really like someone. I don't see it happening, but I'd do it if they offered.
Greek Freak is shooting 19% on 3-pointers this year and his jump shot has regressed. Yes he's only 19, and yes he's only in year two, but this Wolves franchise lacks a prototypical PF (stretch the floor, block shots, rebound) and doesn't need another young perimeter project to develop with Shabazz, Wiggins, and even GRIII already in play.

He shooting way less 3's. He is down from 1.6 a game to .6 a game. Overall he is up 4 minutes of playing time and 5 points/2 boards a game to 11pts/6 boards/2.3 assists/.9 steals/1 block a game. Overall FG% is up 8% to 49%. He is developing very nicely. I would be very tempted by that.
