I think that's a function of the understandable disgust with the entire team. But there's no doubt the Wolves could get a future 1st round pick for Edwards. The only question is how much protection would be attached to the pick. Sadly, I think it would be at least top 5 protection and likely top 10. That's unfortunate considering his was the top pick in the draft. Edwards has tremendous potential and he doesn't appear to have issues with effort or intensity that Wiggins has. So I'd be reluctant to trade him because at this point we'd be selling low. Instead, he has a huge problem with shooting efficiency and decision-making. Those are fixable, although I'm concerned with his lack of any progress on those measures this season.

I am not sure people are factoring in that if we are already trading him there would be red flags everywhere. What did we trade to get Michael Beasley after his rookie year?

Beasley played 2 full years in Miami. Also Adrian Payne got a lottery pick for 32 games. Edwards could get a top 5 protected pick

Exactly... if edwards was in this upcoming draft he would go 2nd half of the lottery (8-14)... at least. We're not talking about if there were red flags (we're just assigning a value). I think we could trade him to several teams for a top 5 protected pick... but why would we want to do that?

People we can't trade with ourselves so we won't find anyone dumb enough to overpay for our players.

I have accepted that we will be in the top 3 worst teams and fall to 4th or 5th in the lottery, meaning we have zero chance of getting to the top spot.

As if Winter wasn't bad enough. Now we cannot enjoy the other three seasons.

I hope you're wrong about that, but if you're right then we better hope a team that wants to contend now wins that top pick and is willing to deal it.

Yes, but who do the Wolves have to offer, other than KAT, that a contender would be interested in getting as a return for the top pick in the draft?

This would be one of those very rare situations where I'd be open to dangling Karl-Anthony Towns for that top pick plus assets, depending on the team that won the lottery. Like if Atlanta or Sacramento were to wind up with the number one pick and wanted a proven star to take a leap in the standings instead of another 20-year old, I would certainly entertain those talks. I think Cade Cunningham is going to be Luka Doncic -esque -- a point forward that can be a top player in the NBA.

So apparently MN tried to give a late 1st for old ass PJ Tucker going into the year. So glad Houston said no to that. This just makes me view Rosas as even more of a homer. At this point I am thinking we need the team to be sold, until then we have no hope, hope I am wrong but really hate the roster right now.

Hope they go get J. Collins at a decent price.
