Surprised at how efficient he is, pretty close to 50%, 40% and 80% and with decent rebound, steal and block numbers. I'm still not sold on trading Cov, but you could do a lot worse than Sekou and a first (I really have less than zero interest in Rose, don't want him taking minutes away from younger guys and don't like his ISO ball).
Ya 100%. I also get your point on keeping Cov, I think the Wolves need to get legit value back to trade Cov. I am high on Sekou also, it could be that he has a good NBA body and he is sort of an unkown coming from France. I don't think the Pistons would give up a unprotected pick so that is why I added top 3 protected and I don't know how excited I would be for a lotto protected pick just because wolves would be gambling on 2 complete unkowns in Sekou and that non lotto pick for a legit asset in Cov.
I added Rose just because we needed salary filler and he does fit a need even though like you I am not stoked to have him back. That is why I said Galloway also works and he is an expiring.
I don't know if the Pistons would do that trade but if they really want to make the playoffs like their owner says Cov might be the best player they could get for that package.

Jonk:
"Wolves have been among the most aggressive teams in making calls and looking for trade partners. Takes two to tango."
Rosas has an itchy trigger finger right now.

I wonder if that's in pursuit of help for this team or in an attempt to sell off parts.

Objectively speaking, the best move ideally would be like
Covington/Graham/Napier/a protected first that becomes 2 2nd's after 3 years to Indiana
Bitadze, Holiday, McDermott
Bitadze/Dieng/Reid
Towns/Vonleh/Bell
McDermott/Layman/Bates-Diop
Wiggins/Culver/Okogie
Holiday/Nowell
Teague would be bought out after the deadline
now you can use your lottery pick on the best available SF who ideally would be Obi Toppin (Jaden McDaniels could be another option)

No thanks on that deal.

Ya no thank you on that. Wolves would be giving up the best player in the deal, and a pick. And 3 years where the wolves can't trade a pick because of the protections.

Of course you're giving up the best player in the deal. What you're looking for is reasonable compensation for that guy. Otherwise, you're never gonna trade RoCo. I don't wanna trade RoCo either, but Gersson Rosas has done a magnificent job of gassing your heads up with the idea that we'll get a star back for RoCo. Just because we traded Jimmy Butler for RoCo doesn't mean we're gonna get one back for RoCo, let alone a depressed RoCo who isn't playing his best basketball (if he was, we wouldn't be trading him at all since we'd be better). The idea behind a deal like this is to bank on guy like Holiday and/or Bitadze becoming the pieces we need to surround Towns and perhaps one of them becomes that next star. Like he's been saying to y'all, it's about taking as many bites at the apple as you can. It's a gamble, no doubt, but perhaps it pays off. It comes down to what you think of Holiday or Bitadze's long term outlook. Rosas is gonna have to find a guy that he buys sorta low the way Morey did with James Harden. Maybe it's Aaron Holiday. Maybe it's someone else. Start identifying those guys. We could just wait til 2020 to draft our PG of the future, but then everyone from here will wonder whether these 19, soon to be 18 year old players will fit with Towns' "timeline."
Realistically, Indiana turns this down unless we lift the protections on the pick.

Giving up the pick plus cov is my point. We don't need to trade Cov. And we don't need to give up picks to get off of him

Porter Jr would be a home run swing we need on the wing and Grant can actually play small ball 4 and had been shooting really well from 3 last season and so far this season. Denver gets a reasonable multi-year role player deal who's better than both guys right now on a team full of big deals. At least we'd get a known decent player back in Grant who fits our new team vision and we'd have a shot to develop long-term 3/4 piece in Porter Jr.
That's an interesting deal. Porter Jr looks good but a huge injury risk. Im sure he would play less than 10 games for the Wolves before retiring.
Porter Jr is apparently untouchable. Also I don't know if they would do grant for Cov straight up. I think that is close
Yeah, I don't think we could get porter alone, But yeah aim high I guess. If I asked for two guys it would be Porter and Morris, but I also heard porter was untouchable so I switched it to Morris and Beasley.
