Robert Covington has the hot hand tonight. We need that.

24-8 run to close the half, according to the Wolves broadcast team. That doesn't happen without Covington making some very tough shots.

Cov is on fire.

Doncic has a very zaza pachula-like punchable face.

Sean Payton is the leader of that group.

Even with that ugly loss to the grizz, we can make a dent in the standings if we can manage a win.

Suns lost
OKC losing
Jazz getting a beatdown.

Boy, Doncic has a lot of Harden's bag of tricks in terms of trying to draw fouls. The NBA really needs to do something about unnatural shot moves that lead to contact.

I'm sorry, but no basketball players on earth other than NBA guys like Harden and Doncic stick their arms out straight ahead while driving to the hoop and then drive their arms into a defender, only to then pull them back to try to get the "and-one" shot off. It should simply be a non-call or if really egregious, an offensive foul.

Culver came to play tonight. Nice clean strip on a Doncic drive and then buried a transition three on the other end. His shot is much cleaner when he's able to walk into the shot and get some momentum going up. Tells me that he just needs to get stronger.

Its a hard call because Doncic and Harden are ahead of the defenders athletically. Although its annoying I think the defenders have to adjust. Good players have been initiating contact in the NBA forever, this is the next evolution with players that are extremely skilled.

I know, but the officials need to have some discretion and there are some obvious unnatural shot motions by those guys that should be non-calls, even if there is contact. It needs to be one of those "points of emphasis" deals that the NBA sends out to coaches and players ahead of a new season.
