Better at some things, worse at others. Talent-wise, I'd argue that they're relatively even. With that said, Doncic definitely benefits more from his position and this era of the NBA than Towns does. His numbers are also boosted by the fact that the Mavericks have implemented the "Russell Westbrook" strategy of letting Doncic chase down uncontested rebounds so that he can get the ball up the floor quicker. And based on the early results of their offense, I'd say it's a smart strategy.

So, the two are pretty close in actual talent, in my opinion, but the league is currently tilted in Doncic's favor.

Haven't seen it mentioned yet but Josh Okogie got the start tonight alongside Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, Robert Covington, and Jarrett Culver. That leaves Treveon Graham fighting for bench minutes. Interesting move.

Side note: Culver looked good early attacking and getting in the paint.
