I bring this up because 90% of you were on #'s 3,4 and 5 just last year. He sucks and get rid of him as soon as possible. Now, 90% of you are on #7. I gleaned that from reading the game thread and game reports from the Memphis game. Kind of fickle, don't you think?

As fans of a team with a miserable history I don't think it's odd for us to vacillate between the extremes. As for Wiggins, he's given is every reason to doubt him, even now. As a fan I always hoped he'd get it together and help make this team a contender, but even now I'm not about to hold my breath

Wiggins deserves credit for raising his game as do the coaches for playing to his strengths, but given we're in year six it's going to take more than a good quarter of a season to even begin to talk about turning corners and such.

Your 2nd paragraph is sound and i agree with it. I just think if you're going to come with strong takes (not necessarily you), you should own them when you're right and when you're wrong. In Wig's case it's not about stats, we all know he didn't live up to the early projections coming out of school. Anybody could look at his game and see the flaws. But if you're going to bury the guy and call him a bust (which was very prevalent here), I don't think two months later you should be expecting him to win games for you and be critical when he doesn't. Or you shouldn't make a lame post like Abe's where he tries to oversimplify things by pointing to statistics. Because the rhetoric on this board was not just about stats. Far from it. It was about motor, heart, lack of drive, not caring and inability to change or improve.

I hope Andrew goes on to become an all star, but i myself don't know whether this is all a mirage or something more real. I tend to think we are seeing at least some transformation, but that will be proven out over time.

I guess I just don't understand your take here.

Are you ripping people for using statistics over the past few seasons to show that Wiggins was playing at a slightly below or slightly above average level for his first 5 seasons in the league... and had even regressed as a player?

Because yes... if backing up my takes with statistics instead of knee-jerk, hot-headed reactionary takes after every game... or few games... is what's wrong here... I'm guilty as charged.

I'll stop trying to prove my takes with reasoned analysis and stuff. Maybe I'll just resort to more insults and browbeating instead.

I'm happy Wiggins is better, but he couldn't get any worse so anything is an improvement. He is still overpaid however, so to allow the Wolves to have a near term contending upside, he's going to have to go another level higher, not just be avg starter material. Him going another level from here, again, I have my doubts.

At least you own your thoughts and always have. I can appreciate that.

I wouldn't be critical of his play if he didn't have the talent and max contract. He should be an All Star player, he has the ability to do so by playing 100 percent every night. Only he can write how his story ends.

I'm not sitting here being critical of Graham or name your backup as much as they are just mostly the stop gap lower paid players. Andy is paid at a All Star paycheck, he should be performing at that level.

That is just the simple reality of the situation. I am happy he is better however and has shown some promise, now let's see it continue to improve.
