But if the Wolves can get him in exchange for Covington and Teague, then the Wolves should pull the trigger on that deal without hesitation provided we keep Okogie. We'd need Okogie's defense given the poor defense we'd be getting from Russell and Wiggins. Russell's scoring and ball-handling would fit well with Okogie as a backcourt mate with Wiggins at SF. Russell has the size of a SG, so he could also be paired with a PG if we were to snag one in next June's draft. But I wouldn't give up a future 1st or Okogie for Russell and I'd be reluctant to part with Culver.

Okogie
Wiggs

Having a floor stretcher at 4 is needed if the plan is to play 1 big.

I can't see culver, layman, nor wiggs playing that role due to a lack of rebounding and our bench would be non existent.

Also, i love how okogie is playing in his role as 6th man, so id like to keep him there if possible.

Jerami Grant is the ideal non-star forward next to Karl-Anthony Towns and he will be heavily coveted this summer when he declines to pick up his player option. That's a guy you throw the full MLE at barring a down season or an injury.

Clarke projects to be a career bench big. Let's aim a *little* higher.

I am a big fantasy basketball player and I stumbled on this on Rotoworld: https://www.rotoworld.com/article/nba-fantasy-trends/mid-week-waiver-wired-week-2

Plus, is D'Angelo Russell going to get traded in December? Early signs would say yes. The Warriors actually have a +16.6 net rating when he's on the bench, which is the only positive net rating when a Warrior is on the bench. Among the 161 NBA players with 24-plus minutes per game and multiple games played, he also has the worst net rating in the league at -29.3. Sure, it's four games, but it's been a Hindenburg of a season.

I do the deal if it means KAT is happy longterm. I fear that KAT eventually gets upset with the lack of help surrounding him and wants out, ala Kevin Love. I don't think KG demanded a trade if I remember correctly, but if we had better talent around him, he stays longer term too. Now the question is wether you think D-Lo is that good or not. I don't think last season is an aberration, I think he's going to be that player long term. He is also better suited at PG so he makes more sense here then next to Curry. Or backing up Curry in some way. Can we ship off Wiggins instead? lol

Wait. I thought Cov and KAT were besties. It's DeAngelo? Seriously I don't get this stuff.

KAT loves everybody but Embiid and Butler it seems. He has dozens of best friends. I have a nephew about the same age as KAT and he's a sports phenom too and he has a ton of best friends. Having just one best friend is so last generation.

Towns likely has the most history with Russell and Booker out of his hoops buddies.

I'm on the skeptical side with D-Lo. If he was a more efficient scorer, I'd probably be fine with it. But last season he had a career high TS% of .533. That is not good these days. Yes, he can pass and he's a willing volume 3 shooter, but for the price he'd cost us, I'm not sure he moves the needle much. He seems a little like Zach LaVine in that he'll put up some sexy numbers, but when he's on the bench, his team doesn't seem to miss him too much.
