Interesting take Cool. Do you have any pieces in mind in a deal for Dunn? I think we both know this is pretty theoretical but I'm curious what value you think Dunn could fetch.

Dunn's highest value was during the draft ( or maybe after summer league). But it's still not bad now.

Edit. He could be a part of Jimmy Buckets trade when Bulls flame out.

While I love this take, it has to be considered completely theoretical. Dunn was Thibs first ever draft choice, and there has to be an emotional attachment there. I can't see him being traded.

So why do I like the (hypothetical) take? Because I agree that his value will never be higher, and I think we are set at PG with Rubio/Jones/Lucas. The NBA GM survey was panned as being somewhat meaningless in another thread, but I think that the fact that he was the ROY choice of most GMs speaks to his perceived value around the league. Maybe the three teams who are interested in Tyus would be even more interested in Dunn, and would be willing to give up something in value. A superb athlete who was the 5th pick in the draft and is projected to be ROY is a terrific trade chip.

Set at PG with Rubio/Jones/Lucas?!? Please re-read that statement...

Rubio is not going anywhere soon. Dunn is not going anywhere soon.

I bet Philly would give up a hek of a piece for Dunn. It shouldn't be hard to find takers.........right now.

What would you reasonably demand from Philly for Dunn? Note that I saw on Twitter Noel is having a minor knee procedure.

Edit:

I don't mean to put you on the spot Cool I am just curious.

His value was highest on draft night. Not sure I'm ready to give up on him quite yet!

Any interest in Jordan McRae?

I know he was the Cav's leading scorer in preseason, but I still have zero interest in him. To me he's a chucker who shot under 40% and has no other above average skills.

I kinda feel the same way. The summer league games and maybe even a D-league game I have seen he does look a cut above offensively compared to many of the fringe guys he is playing against. I always wondered if it would translate at the next level when he comes off the bench having not played for a week or whatever etc. Plus if you do that deal you are basically paying over 3 million for him after waiving Mo. That's kind of a lot of money when you can probably sign some other young interesting wing player for a 6th of the money and have their contract not be fully guaranteed for the season.

Don't think we should give up on Dunn yet either. Get rid of Lucas and add a wing when someone gets hurt.

I doubt many will agree but my gut tells me Wiggins value will never be as high as it is right now. I sure as hell would consider serious offers for him.

Zero chance of that
