I'll return your sarcasm.........Yes, and Thibs is the only coach who can get that Bulls team to the 2nd round.

The only coach that could get that Bulls team to the second round without Derrick Rose. Definitely.

Ran into LeBron James this year. It happens.

I find it incredibly distracting.

I don't like the guy, but to be fair, I think he's handled a tough situation very well on air.

Thibodeau has a 64.7% CAREER winning percentage in the NBA, despite multiple season-ending injuries to the team's best player.

The Timberwolves have exactly ONE season with a winning percentage that high in 26 seasons. They haven't even made it to .500 in a decade.

I just don't understand such negativity for a guy who won a lot of games with talent... and even without that talent.

[Note: When Sam Mitchell could very well be the next coach, Thibodeau would be an incredible hire. The real question is... why on Earth would he come to Minnesota?]

There really isn't that much negativity, just myself and Khans. As usual, we may go against the grain today, but we will look smart tomorrow.

It's simple. I don't care about the regular season. It's nice if you have a good team, but my ultimate goal is playoff success which the guy is proven to not have. You can blame injuries and Lebron for it. I think Thibs coaching style has a decent amount to do with the fact he never has a healthy team come the playoffs and quite frankly Lebron didn't play well in that series this year and Chicago still looked out matched. Defensively they have had the firepower to stop Lebron. It's their lack of offense that has always stopped them from beating Lebron and Thibs is the main culprit of that because he is a bad offensive coach. I'd be totally fine just making the postseason dance as a 6 or 7 seed and trying to do some damage than going all out in the regular season and have nothing left in the tank. The last thing I'll say is you don't get to give Lebron credit for carrying this team while simultaneously giving Thibs an out for losing to Lebron this year. 1 player can't win a series by himself so if Lebron is playing with garbage that makes Thibs look worse.

If only we were fortunate enough to worry about the Wolves winning in the playoffs. Haven't fucking been there in a decade.

One thing is undisputable: Thibs team this year would consistently go through long stretches where they just couldn't score. Scoring is relatively important in the NBA. And it's not like he didn't have the talent. He just sucks on the offensive side of the ball. I don't see any reason to gnash your teeth or wring your hands over not being able to get this guy. He's just not that great.

Maybe.

Just for the record, he's 6th in NBA history for winning percentage for guys with at least 4 seasons on the sidelines. Again, the Wolves have won 65% of their games only one time in 26 seasons.

He may not be great. But using the context of what's out there for the Wolves to get... he may be at/near the top. I'm not comparing him with Popovich. I'm comparing him with Sam Mitchell, Mike Brown, Terry Porter, et al.

So your talking abut 4? current head coaches that have had more playoff success that he has? And your saying this as a fan from a franchise that has only advanced past the 1st round once in their entire history? Jesus what is wrong with you
