Getting Bosh means we won't be a contender for even longer. So, why put it off? Young assets > All-Star player who's on the back five of his prime. This is one of the same reasons I don't want David Lee. Doesn't move this team in the right direction for the future.

The East has been weaker than the West for the last 15 years. I don't wanna hear about Bosh carrying Toronto and Love not carrying Minnesota. Al Jefferson carried the Bobcats to the playoffs. He's a real winner... (please catch the sarcasm)

Bosh wants to win/contend for championships. That's obvious when you check his attitude. Willing to take $15M-ish to stay in Miami. Those near max contracts in Chicago and Houston are a whole hell of a lot more enticing than several more million in Minnesota. He gets his money and a title contender. Absurd to say he'd rather have a few more million and throw away contender status.

Argument over. You said everything that needed to be said in eight words. He's opted out already. He's a free agent. He doesn't have to come to Minnesota. He could go wherever the fuck he wants. Of course we're not at the top of his list.

PS: You didn't discuss the idea that Bosh could get his max contract and play with Melo in New York/Los Angeles. Just another idea that is more attractive to a player like him. C'mon man. Stop this nonsense.

I am not really advocating Parsons though. I far and away prefer Thompson. I still think they will get similar contracts.

You dont understand that there is a diffence between a guy who is 6'10 with shoes playing SF and someone 6'6-6'7 playing SG? ..

Wings are interchangeable. Depending on the matchup, I've seen Golden State play Thompson at small forward plenty of times. Not really a big deal, though. Still have to get the rebounds and all I said was Parsons is better at doing so, which is true. I guess we'll throw away his assist rate too because he's 6'10... And his 47% shooting from the field.

Well i guess there is not much sense to argue with you, but truth is that Parsons was 33th among SFs when it comes to rebounding rate per48 last season, and K.Thompson was 47th among SGs when it comes to rebounding rate per 48. So yeah Parsons is pretty bad at this category and Thompson is even worse. Btw. Brewer was dead last among SFs

Here I was just comparing Parsons to Thompson... An isolated comparison between two players. Sometimes this board loses focus too often.
