To his credit, Naz has looked better tonight, but it's also entirely linked to his perimeter shot. The other issues are still there.

Nice drive from Jaden from the corner.

Meh, you're overrating him. Nothing special about 6 assists, 2 steals, no TOs and a +25 in 15 minutes ;) .

Difficult to take too much out of this game against Lakers playing their scrubs, but you can't ignore how deep our roster is...best depth I have ever seen from a Wolves team. Even beyond Rudy, I love the off-season additions.

I liked listening to Van Gundy and Jackson...quite funny and a lot of basketball knowledge. And they are very high on the Wolves. I was surprised at the positive comments from both of them about Naz. But my favorite comment of the night: "Anthony Edwards can be the best player on a championship team"...love it!

McLaughlin so far this pre-season: 29 minutes, 11 assists, 6 steals, 2 turnovers.

He will be impossible to keep off the floor. Too many good things happen when he's on it.

Another interesting comment from Van Gundy while talking about Victor: "There are 4 Western Conference teams trying to lose as many games as they can". I see 15 games against the 4 actively tanking Western teams, and I have to believe we will be double digit favorites in almost all of those assuming we don't have a rash of serious injuries. That's a very nice start for those of us who are forecasting 50+ wins.

Yeah, I could see a real crowd of teams around that 48-53 win range because you have more teams than usual in the West that are actively rebuilding/tanking and then you have a bunch of others that are all really good. And it seems like a team like Golden State doesn't really care much about the regular season once they are assured of a top 4 seed. Same with the Clippers. So they are going to be resting guys a lot and may be willing to sacrifice a handful of wins in order to be ready for the playoffs. I mean, look at Phoenix. They had a brilliant regular season and then fell flat. None of it really mattered. They couldn't even reach the Finals again!

Just finished watching this game I'll share some thoughts before reading the thread.

Nowell really has some high level ability as an offensive player. At times it just looks like he is playing with people.

Gobert's length looked ridiculous at times in this game and he pulled down a bunch of rebounds.

I love watching McLaughlin play.

McDaniels had a couple nice possessions with the ball in his hands.

Anderson just looks tall and is a good player.

Either the Wolves value Naz Reid pretty highly since they keep giving him minutes or maybe they are trying to feature him for a trade. I'd guess the former more than the later. Meanwhile Thomas Bryant looked pretty good in this game.

This is a high bar but based on what I've seen Forbes has more dribble and scoring and playmaking ability off the bounce than Beasley. It's not significant but I think it's worth mentioning. I thought Beasley made some strides making simple plays last year but he simply wasn't a shot creator. Forbes isn't either but there is more there. He looks more like a guard with the ball than Beasley who just has it as a guy looking to move the ball to someone else or shoot.

Knight had a nice game.

Garza did some good things. It's fun to see him work in the post.

Lawson is just fast especially straight-line and twitchy. There were a couple times he was going too fast but I like watching him.

It seems the Wolves consider Moore a PG or at the very least a combo guard.

CJ Elleby gave a lot of effort on D but he is the one guy that played I have no desire to be on the roster based on his play in this game.

I noticed Dozier was sitting next to Towms the whole game and they seemed really engaged with each other. I thought that was kinda interesting.

The team struggled early but got on track and did what I would kinda expect to happen blow out this Lakers team.
