The Wolves have a history of drafting the one guy who I absolutely don't want to draft. Wes Johnson, Flynn, Shabazz and Randy Foye ruined draft day for me in the past, and are some of the cringeworthy picks that come to mind.
My least favorite guy that could be the top pick is Edwards and least favorite trade down picks are Okoro and Toppin. So, based on the Wolves history of disappointing me, these are the most likely picks. LOL

If he ends up Wiggins 2.0 I'll be puking too. I'd still try an usurp GSW and draft Wiseman IF you are convinced they like him over Edwards. Tell them to give us our pick back. lol

I think I'm done with Gersson Rosas if he takes LaMelo Ball and keeps him. There's just no basketball reason to take him that I can come up with. What does he do for this basketball team?

I don't think he WANTS to keep him. I don't think he wants to keep anyone at 1. He wants to preserve some sort of ammo for a future deal. I just don't think there's a deal to be made but I don't think Rosas agrees.
Y'all are gonna have to come to the realization that you must expect more out of the 17th pick than the first one.

It IS disappointing we don't seem to be trending for Wiseman. I read that he hadn't even heard from Minnesota. I hope it's the ultimate smokescreen, but I don't believe most of us are going to get our wish. As a betting man, I think we end up trading out of the top spot. But nothing has changed my mind over where I was months ago. If we keep the pick I expect to see Ball selected.

I don't know if there is any reason for Rosas to smokescreen disinterest in Wiseman unless he thinks teams wanting Ball are willing to trade more than teams wanting Wiseman. I would prefer him to pump up both Ball and Wiseman and reiterate what a difficult choice he'll have to make to keep teams guessing. The other thing is that Wiseman and his camp may have completely shut out Rosas and that the lack of any communication is a result of this.

There isn't a good basketball reason, but there could be a business reason to draft him.

I agree that Edwards has incredibly high upside. But upside means nothing if the player lacks the attributes or characteristics needed to reach his potential - competitive drive, worth ethic, passion for the game, self-discipline. You don't teach those characteristics. They're either there or not as part of who you are by the time you're 19 years old. If you disappear from games a lot in college, you'll disappear from games a lot in the NBA. If you don't care enough to play hard for more than a half while your team is getting its ass kicked, then you don't care enough to drive yourself to develop your full potential in the NBA.
