I doubt it. Jennings is an expiring contract and may start for them. They have a bunch of wing players they want to get playing time to as well.

I think dumping salary was a big part of it but Jennings and Ersan are legit players to get back. Remember Skiles coached both of those guys so I don't think they are really looking to move them. I doubt they have any interest in a Martin for Jennings swap they had too many wings that's why they were willing to trade Harris.
Ersan could have some solid trade value this offseason as either a guy a team could save money on the cap or as a relatively inexpensive player on a one year deal. Maybe they get something out of Jennings in a sign and trade deal. I still think they didn't get enough assets back for Harris who is a young productive player locked up for a few years but they could still end up with a little more value down the line. Still this trade feels like one of those deals the Bucks did for years that helped keep them being mediocre.

I read somewhere the Pistons bench was +6.1 when he was playing. Not horrible.

Jennings has been always streaky shooter and he has played just 23 games after coming back from injury. So one good or bad game can still affect quite a lot for his this years shooting numbers. I dunno.
It could be a smaller sample size... or legit concerns for a guy who uses his speed but is coming off a serious achilles tendon tear. Jennings' drop in his numbers and efficiency is pretty much the norm when returning to the court. Wesley Matthews is dealing with similar drops in production and efficiency. And then you have Kobe Bryant... but his age has to be taken into consideration.
Only Dominique Wilkins came back strong among NBA players returning from the injury. Even if he can improve efficiency in Orlando... I don't see Skiles giving him heavy minutes this quickly based on previous recoveries.

Was Motiejunas worth a top 8 protected first? Detroit will either squeak into the playoffs or be one of the first out, so the pick is probably in the 12-17 range. They should be in position to draft whoever falls out of Valentine, Murray, Davis, Poetl or Ellenson. Long term winner is Houston, though Motie combined with Tobias Harris might help Detroit get into playoffs. This trade has an impact on the Wolves as we want Houston to make the playoffs so we get their 2nd rounder (top 45 protected) and it may dissuade Houston from also trading Terrence Jones.

Trades are heating up! No mention of the Wolves.
I wouldn't mind seeing the Wolves trade a non-core guy for a future asset.
I also wouldn't mind seeing a trade for a player who would compliment our core, even if it cost one of our young guys not named KAT, Wiggins or Zach.
Positions of need: a big to compliment Dieng and KAT, and a wing who eventually replaces Prince.
