With Peck there is around 300 reasons to think he may never have another healthy season. In Rubio's case I just think last years ankle sprain was a freak thing, maybe I'll turn out to be wrong, but I don't think so. If he doesn't have a fully healthy season this upcoming year I'll join you in thinking he's injury prone rather than just unlucky, I promise.
I would assume Rubio's getting a pass on the injury concerns because both instances where he's gotten significantly injured, they were freak plays. One play he was guarding Kobe, bumped knees and it turned out to be an ACL injury. The other injury happened where Rubio's driving the lane on a pretty regular play and rolls his ankle severely. Neither of those injuries are because he's injury-prone or caused by how he plays the game. They just happened during routine plays, so to speak. Also, Rubio came back from the ACL just fine and will likely return from the ankle as well.
Pekovic, on the other hand, looks like he has chronic feet/ankle issues. THAT's why he doesn't get a pass. His injury problems flare up constantly and it's always the same thing: his feet. If Pekovic had one rolled ankle and one dislocated shoulder or something, I could maybe give him a pass as well. That's not the case.
Last year wasn't his only injury riddled season tho. It seems that athletes that miss a lot of time just continue to miss a lot of time. Call it bad luck or what have you but until the guy is playing games he will be considered injury prone. The amount of reasons I have to believe Ricky will miss more games is parallel to the amount of games he's missed.
Ricky is still young enough you can hope Pek is getting close to 30 is a massive human and centers age poorly. There should be more optimism for Ricky but the bad thing is he is more key to our future than Pek so anywho.
To put a positive spin on this in keeping with the thread Pek will be an expiring when we are hopefully be looking at the playoffs. Rubio can likely be moved as well. The Wolves in a couple years could be in very good shape when it comes to big contracts.
Doesn't history tell us that centers/pfs amass more minutes over the course of their career than any other position? I think they age rather gracefully becuz they plant their asses in the paint and aren't required to move around as much.

They are also the guys who have to pound down low for rebounds and position. Can't be easy on your body to do that every other night.
