Rubio has not shown me much since he came to town. I appreciate him as a player, but he is a liability in numerous ways, offensive shooting, injury etc etc. In the right system, he could be an consistant All-star, and the only team I can see that is with the Knicks. Only if Carmelo is around.

If the Knicks come knocking....Trade #4 (Russell) plus Calderon for Rubio and #31? Hoping 76ers love Mudaiy at #3.

Time for me to defend Rubio, everyone focuses on the one thing he can't do well (shooting) and does not look at the things he does will. IMO top 5 starting PG in passing, defense and rebounding. I would not trade Rubio for anything other than Russell in this draft class.

KEK--We are listening to Chad Ford a guy who changes his big board years after the fact. Also why on earth would Rubio ask for a trade when he could of became of FA in the first place. Come on wolves fans pull your head out of your ass and put 2 and 2 together.

Tough Love, baby. Make him a coach

Yeah, it's getting a little silly. In all likelihood we take Okafor, so we're starting to load up offensively. Rubio can get these guys the ball where they want it while also being one of the only players on the roster that knows how to defend. If anything, we need his defense now more than ever.

(and even if we take Towns, we all know it's going to take him a few years to figure things out defensively, so either way, our struggles will continue in this area next year).

I'll bet they take Russell, Slim. Much better fit. So would you still make the deal? Ricky for Mudiay?

With Mudaiy's injury and then weird late season addition to the team once again...I really haven't seen much of him. But his size 6'5"(same as Russell), Pure PG style....ABILITY to score and rebound....If he is there at #4, I would take him. That or trade back if he isnt our guy. I love Rubio, but him and Pek seem to be odd men out with this new regime that Flip has created. Just my thought.

I really like Russell, but Mudaiy has a Baron Davis strength about him I like.

There's a lot of buzz going around about Winslow and the Knicks so while it makes sense for our mock drafts, let's pump the brakes on Mudiay to the Knicks.

Hypothetical trades for the board to discuss. I probably wouldn't do them, and the Wolves definitely won't do them, but anyways...

SAC: Rubio and the rights to Bjelica
MIN: No. 6 overall and a future lottery-protected 1st

(could be a number of teams): No. 31 and No. 36 overall
MIN: the rights to Tyus Jones

Minnesota would still need to sign or trade for a veteran point guard as a place-holder, and for the sake of having a name here, I'll say it's Calderon. Also, they pick up a future first to make up for the abysmal Payne trade Flip made earlier this year.

At No. 1 and No. 6, the Wolves select Okafor and Cauley-Stein, respectively.

PG: Calderon / Jones
SG: Martin / LaVine
SF: Wiggins / Muhammad
PF: Cauley-Stein / Garnett
C: Okafor / Dieng

The premise of this is adding Okafor's offense and Cauley-Stein's defense to the frontcourt while maybe getting the future at point guard in Jones. Ideally, Jones, LaVine and Wiggins gives you enough shooting surrounding the two bigs so that it isn't a problem. Cauley-Stein provides the rim protection and mobility needed to be a difference maker on defense.

I just spent way too much time typing this out, but it was fun to think about for a second.
