I want Iggy. They need to trade someone before next season in order to get under the luxury tax. Their options include trading IGGY, Lee or barnes. I wass listening to Zach Lowe this morning and he says it will most likely be Iggy or barnes because no one is willing to take Lee.

What value does Iguodala have on a lousy team? He's proven to be a valuable rotation guy on a very good team. It's rare for a higher usage guy to go that route... and then suddenly revert back to being a high usage guy.
So what value does he bring the Wolves as a behind the numbers glue guy? The Wolves don't need that at his price tag... and he shirley doesn't want to spend his waning years being that guy on a crappy team, does he?
No value just a thought. Since he was talking about David Lee I thought I would stay with someone on the warriors other than David Lee because I dont think getting David Lee is a smart choice. I think Iggy would do wonders to Wiggins tho and I think he is gettable, but he obviously wont be coming to the wolves.
Iguodala's one of the most overrated, overpaid players in the NBA currently. He's been on a steady decline for several years now. I'm sure Golden State would like to dump him, but Minnesota won't be that team.
They're 20 games into their youth movement with each of the young guys showing promise outside of GR3 who hasn't had a chance to show anything. About the only trades I would be looking to make if I were Flip would be moving Pek or Bud which is a pipe dream. Just let it ride, let the youth be served, any changes to the roster are best saved until this upcoming off season.

I wonder if he has offered Young and Budinger for KG. Nets might bite.
If current Thad is closer to the version of Thad we get compared to the one early in the season, I would absolutely call up GS and offer them Thad and Bud for Lee. This team lacks scoring, rebounding, passing and defense and Lee is a big upgrade in the first 3 while being a downgrade in the fourth. However, I don't think he is a big enough downgrade to offset the bonus he gives us in the first 3 categories. He is a 20/10/3 guy on bad teams which would be a significant upgrade over Thad's 14/4.5/2. He and Dieng would make a formidable rebounding duo even though the defense would suffer. Our defense can't get much worse than it already is so getting a guy who can help the offense function a lot better will at least give us a chance. He's an expiring deal next year and we were really at least two years away from playoff contention anyway going into this season so why not get him if we can get rid of two guys who aren't playing well? It would make the team a lot more fun to watch, but it wouldn't be such an improvement that we would start winning a bunch of games so it is a win-win in my mind.

Is a title contender content to take back less talent just because?
What does Thad Young and Budinger offer Golden State? They have the power in this deal. They're the title contenders without David Lee. They could keep David Lee for depth if they wanted.
I don't see a reason to make any trades at this point . It's not like this team is a player or two away. Why trade middle of the road players only to get the same in return? I think they just gotta bite it this year and hope for the best in the draft. hopefully they find a way to unload Martin and Pek this offseason as well.

Wasn't that part of David Kahn's long con? He just kept rearranging the furniture to keep people from noticing the foundation was unstable.
