Well he may start the year relatively healthy but he probably isn't going to remain so. And even a healthy Budinger isn't worth much IMO.

Bud actually shot 43% from 3 playing with Rubio last year.

in a perfect world Chase could beat out Martin for the SG spot and we could trade Martin. I wonder if the Thunder have any interest in getting him back.

I think Bud was excited to finally contribute this year, and now he may never get the chance. He's not part of the long-term plan so I'm ok with this.

Saw a Sporting News report about Chase for Thomas Robinson talks with Portland. Told no talks with them, at least not yet. #twolves

Would that be sweet or what?

I have no interest in Thomas Robinson, would rather have the roster spot open. And to think Adelman gave up a first rounder for Bud that landed Terrence Jones.

If worst comes to worse, Dieng moves over to the 4 and Ronny actually plays behind Pek instead of the current plan of him probably not playing much. I'm also a fan of getting Robinson. He's another young asset on a rebuilding team. He's also depth insurance in case we can't keep Thad.

That's actually not a bad deal. Robinson is still maturing into the NBA game, but he's already a very good rebounder and would give us some depth at PF, where Thad is undersized and Bennett is still maturing himself.

My issue is where folks just want to give Bud away for practically nothing. I'm just not as convinced as others that he should be written off; he can still be a very solid wing off the bench and a very intelligent player.

We need a roster spot so we have to cut or trade someone. I think the Wolves are trying to avoid eating a guaranteed salary, so they are trying to unload a player via trade. They found no takers for Barea so they are now trying with Budinger who might draw more interest. I'm not a fan of this approach, but I wouldn't expect much return. The problem with taking on Thomas Robinson is that you still got to cut or trade someone and Thomas Robinson hasn't found a home in three tries, not a good sign.

+1

I like this trade.

Thomas Robinson will be a solid PF in this league. Kind of reminds me of Jason Thompson. Not a contending starting caliber PF, but a guy that can slot in if required and be a decent rotation big. We'd also save 3 mil over the next two years if this trade went though

I'd be all for this. Cut Hummel and lets roll.

Rubio / Williams / Barea
Martin / Brewer / LeVine
Wiggins / Muhammad / GR3
Young / Bennett / Robinson
Pekovic / Dieng / Turiaf
