I would prefer we shipped out LMAM instead of Brewer and I can't see CLE objecting too heavily. It would give Cleveland another lockdown perimeter defender to take a bit of defensive pressure off LeBron.

Love, LMAM and GR3 for Wiggins, Thompson and Bennett.

Rubio / LeVine / Barea
Martin / Budinger / Shved
Wiggins / Brewer / Muhammad
Thompson / Bennett / Vet Min
Pekovic / Dieng / Turiaf

Cleveland shouldn't get GRIII in this deal. Plain and simple.

Ugh...Bennett. God I hope he isn't included in any deal because that means we would have to play him. He seems like another one of these sloppy 'tweener forwards who floats too much out on the perimeter and offers nothing to the team unless he's scoring efficiently, which he's given no indication yet that he's capable of doing. We had that in Derrick Williams and have it now with Shabazz Muhammed. I would almost rather have Dante Cunningham or Mbah-Moute as our backup PF. At least they know their limitations, defend hard, and minimize mistakes. We are better off with Dieng or Thompson as our starting PF, with a veteran backup.

I forgot about that. Previously I had thought if we got Thompson & Bennett that sending them LRMAM made sense. I wouldn't send GR3 though. I'd rather give them a 2nd in 2 years or something.

If the Cavs are open to trading Haywood they could do:
Love, LMAM, Shved, 2nd for Wiggins, Thompson, Bennett, Haywood, 1st

There's too many Wiggins threads now lol

Team Thompson (or anti-Bennett)! I'm the conductor of this train. Welcome aboard.

After this coming season Bennett has a team option for the remaining 2 years. Worst case they can unload him next summer as either a guy who is still talented & young or as an expiring contract. Kind of the best of both worlds there IMO.

I'd rather see Thompson start with Bennett & a vet behind him. Cunningham could be signed to a 1 yr min or someone else. We get 1 year to see what the new improved (physically/health wise) Bennett can do.

I like the idea of getting Thompson and Bennett. Hoping that one will emerge as a good starting forward. I also fear Bennett could become a DWill, and I know draft slot doesn't mean anything, but getting 3 top 4 picks is something I could get somewhat enthusiastic about. And if we're giving up Brew or LRAM, then a #1 should also be included.

Hopefully this gets done this week, I'm tired of hearing about it. :D

Q just outlined with just Bennett why these magical young players that come with Wiggins could be viewed as nothing to be that excited about. Like I've said I don't know much about TT and Waiters but I feel like I know enough about Bennett because he is basically a potential guy. If its true he thinks he is a SF he loses interest for me bigtime and he has a better chance of staying with Lebron who can make that SF idea work better. From what I've seen Bennet looks like a stretch PF with athletic ability not a SF. If you get these other young guys are you really getting anything spectacular or are you getting guys you could sign for the mid-level or overpay some other way in FA? Just asking I'm not totally marginalizing those guys just looking at Q's rational take and wondering. I know some people like these guys.

monster, I like Thompson and Waiters. Thompson's a double double guy who's played with a ballhog backcourt for his whole career. He's also a good team defender. Along with Wiggins, I really want him included in any Cleveland trade. Waiters has real potential in my eyes. 19 PPG post-All Star break on decent percentages. Improved his three ball to a respectable 36% I think (not in the mood to double check). He's always played better without Kyrie in the lineup and I think there's something significant to that. They just have really poor on court chemistry, and maybe off the court issues as well (who knows).

Bennett's a tweener in the very same form as D-Will. Doesn't have the post game that will work against real PFs; not quick/skilled enough to beat SFs. He also doesn't bring you anything else when he's not scoring and he's a poor defender, both man and team D. You can find better players for $5M a year on the free agent market.

Thompson has value. Waiters has value. Bennett does nothing for me.
