Still on track to get the pick, and let's not forget that we have Utah's 2nd round pick as well

I know the conventional wisdom is to take the BPA, but I'm kinda hoping it ends up being a Center. Lots of decent bigs tend to fall in the draft these days. Look at how Lively (12th in the draft two years ago) contributed to Dallas's playoff run last year. And Ware (15th pick) this year is another good example of a big contributing right away to his team.

Detroit wins again! Mmmm, hope they don't get too good. I think it's at #17 as of this afternoon. I'd probably be OK with anything between #19 and #14.

And another W. It looks like a high probability that the Wolves will get this pick in June. And to think it was widely considered to be a future second when it was first reported.

This could be a huge piece for TC along with the Jazz 2nd.

Yep. Looking good. I predict the pick will be in 15-17 range. Utah’s pick will probably be #32 or 33. Those will be great assets in June.

We’re hit the all-star break. If the season ended today, the Wolves would have the 17th and 33rd picks in the NBA draft.

I don’t see the Pistons moving ahead of any other team in the League wide standings. Therefore, I don’t see the Pistons dropping any lower than 17 in the draft. However, I could see the Kings, Warriors and Magic moving ahead of the Pistons in the standings, which would give the Wolves the 14th pick assuming nothing weird happens with the lottery balls.

The Utah pick could drop as low as 35 but I don’t see it dropping more than that.

So it’s looking like the draft will be a point of interest for Wolves fans this summer and an opportunity for the Wolves to maneuver.

In a matchup of the top two rated teams in the NCAA Saturday Auburn versus Alabama, senior big Johni Broome put up a great 19, 14, 6, 2, 1.

7 straight wins, I think Detroit should do us a solid and maybe drop a few?

Wolves need to kill 2 birds with one stone to win a bunch of games and push past Detroit in the standings. Pistons schedule isn't terribly difficult here on out so this pick feels like a lock to convey this season, barring bad injury luck.

If the season ended today I think the Detroit pick would be #18. I expect the pick will ultimately be in the 15-19 range. Anywhere in that range makes it a valuable asset and it’s even more valuable when combined with the Utah pick, which will likely end up in the 32-34 range. I’d like to see those two picks combined for a higher 1st round pick.
