Re: Point Guard Options
The unfortunate counterpoint to both of our desires is that next year Fox will make more than Randle and Donte combined. Nice player, but he's not worth that
Re: Point Guard Options
Thoughts on Jared McCain?

Charlotte is in the East, so they all still have a chance to make the playoffs.AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 24, 2025 9:18 amI really don't see what Sexton does for this team.Phenom wrote: ↑Wed Dec 24, 2025 9:03 am There is some Collin Sexton steam. Sounds like the Hornets want to make a playoff push. I just don't see the matching salary that makes sense. Mike, Rob and and Lenny get us there but that isnt a playoff type move for them. So then another team would have to want those guys. Mike is also playing pretty well in his role.
I'm growing pretty skeptical that anything goes down, which is fine because everyone is playing good basketball for the most part. Maybe another team wants to make an upside swing on Rob and/or TJ and that could make some sense.
Also Charlotte saying they want to make a playoff push is hilarious

I must admit, I have not paid much attention to him. I remember he received all sorts of accolades as a rookie last year. I took a peek, and he has fallen off a cliff statistically. Was he injured for awhile?
Are you thinking that the good stuff from last year is going to return? And have you read something that says he might be available? And what are you thinking it would take to get him?
I'm not sure TC is looking for someone that is quite that raw...
Re: Point Guard Options
McCain was a highly touted prospect coming out oh high school and Duke, but he has been really bad this season. He's only making 38% of his 2-point shots this season, a level close to Conley, Rob and TJ. And I see him as more of an undersized SG than a PG. Kek might be thinking he's a guy who could benefit from a change in scenery, but I don't think he would be a good fit for us.60WinTim wrote: ↑Sat Dec 27, 2025 8:59 amI must admit, I have not paid much attention to him.
