I love having Kyle back for the size, ball handling and also the defensive mentality. I'm really curious how the rotation settles in.
It’s rare that a buyout guy is very impactful, but given SloMo’s prior role on the team less than two years ago, his addition could be a big deal. Look at last night when Finch had to turn to his security blanket, Conley, only to discover the blanket had holes. I can’t think of another security blanket that Finch embraced other than SloMo!
I originally thought SloMo would provide depth and insurance. But I now believe Finch has his top 8, and SloMo will play a healthy amount of regular minutes.

I'm as excited as anyone here (except maybe Tim) about SloMo coming back...love to watch his unusual style of play. Plus the move was very popular in our locker room...I think bringing back Mike and SloMo was as much to keep guys like Ant happy as it was to provide real value on the court.
I see one potential issue though. Both guys still think they can still play and provide value, but I don't think either will be satisfied with the minutes given to him. It won't be a problem with Mike, but Kyle is a fiery guy as we know, and he may not be happy. I don't see him being comfortable accepting an Ingles/Conley role. We'll have to see what happens.

I think the only real issue for me is, does Finch end up relying on SloMo too much. Kind of like how he was playing Conley 20 minutes despite him being old. I guess thats my only fear in that someone potentially better misses minutes. Overall great move though. We needed more depth as Joan is still pretty rough around the edges. Any Joan minutes, maybe some Ju minutes when he's on a bad night then I can see Slo Mo picking up that slack.

Really?!? I think Kyle is going to have a SIGNIFICANT role! How does his role differ from his first two years here playing alongside KAT, Rudy and NAZ? Now it's Julius, Rudy and NAZ. Donte has taken over the Conley role. Ayo takes over the NAW role. Let's Rock and Roll!

Come the playoffs if Ant and Jaden are playing close to 40 minutes per night, there isn't going to be a lot of minutes to go around beyond the top 7, the starters and Naz, Ayo. The 8th man might get one small stint per game in the playoffs and it might change from game to game who that 8th man is.

Finch made it work a couple seasons ago by having SloMo play SF, so basically he was backing up Jaden. There is indeed an opening there, as Shannon is clearly not someone that has seized that role and Ayo has been a mixed bag so far whose 26 MPG could be cut back a little if Finch thinks SloMo could help.

I wouldn't be shocked if Slo Mo gets some Ayo minutes too, even in the playoffs. It's questionable if thats the smart play or not given Slo Mo's poor 3P shot. Obviously we like his playmaking, his BB IQ and defense. IDK if playing Slo Mo bigger minutes will help or hurt? Thats my only fear is that Finch loves him some old vets, and especially too much when their playing bad.

SloMo is definitely going to say something to Jaden McDaniels about him stealing his de-hesitation move.

I anticipate Kyle gets the 8th man spot. His skill set fits into some of the biggest gaps this team has. He can handle, set up offense, defend with accountability and help secure the glass. Bones, TJ, JC, Mike and Baby Bear are probably going to be the foul trouble/injury reserve guys.

We'll have to see, Tim. There's no question that Kyle was a valuable member of our rotation two years ago, but Mike was a valuable member of our rotation just 9 months ago! Kyle is 6 years younger than Mike, but we also know players hit the age wall at different times. Kyle's unimpressive stats since he left the Wolves might be an indication that he has hit that wall, just like it appears Mike has. They are both pros though, so I wouldn't be shocked if either or both of them ended up playing important minutes the rest of the season.
