Slo-Mo is coming home!
According to Shams, he's negotiating a buyout with Memphis and signing with us!!

You beat me by a second. I’ll delete my post
Kyle Anderson has agreed to a contract buyout with the Memphis Grizzlies and plans to sign with the Minnesota Timberwolves after clearing waivers, sources tell ESPN. Anderson spent two seasons with the Timberwolves (2022-24) and gets an opportunity to rejoin the West contender.

Tim will post in this thread in 5, 4, 3, 2...
I'm happy about this news...certainly a unique player. How he will be used is unknown, but I think he could be helpful if Rudy misses a game or two and playing the point forward role against zone defenses.

Honestly if all he does is give an option for Finch to sub out players when they're not trying on defense that's a win

That’ll teach me to take time out for dinner!
I knew something had to happen soon because March 1st is the deadline for a buyout and that player being allowed to sign with a team and be eligible for the playoffs.
I have no expectation that SloMo will be part of the rotation. But Shannon and Bones might want to keep an eye in their rear view mirror!

There's no doubt that the rotation is stronger now than it was even just a few weeks ago. Question is if they can finally rise to being more than the sum of their parts
Re: Slo-Mo is coming home!
Good news. Slo Mo helps this team even if he doesn't play much. Great plug and play guy as well.
I wonder if signing him puts us over the 1st Apron? Currently we have 194.2 mil on the books. 1st Apron is over 195.9 mil. So would only allow us to sign him for 1.6 mil to keep under.
I'm sure this is all part of TC's master plan and he has made some really savvy moves to keep us financially in a better place and at the same time somehow strengthened our bench and depth significantly.

Yes, we definitely stay under the first apron.

Back to an 8 starters lineup. Thank the lord. We needed someone like SloMo in the game missing both Gobert and Naz.
