Well there goes an option for a bunch of teams. Malik has to be up there with guys that fumbled an opportunity to make millions of dollars. He could have made more money on his 2nd contract but that that incident which lowered his cost. and then after finding a spot and increasing his value on the court the Pistons were gonna give him a healthy deal last off-season. He has to have cost himself at least 50 million and that doesn't count any future contracts even at the vet min. He is also 1 year short of the 10 year mark for the max NBA pension benefits.kekgeek wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 9:46 am Nine-year NBA veteran Malik Beasley has been indicted on federal charges for gambling related to a sports betting scheme, such as point shaving and prop bets, his attorney Steve Haney tells ESPN. The government is coordinating a voluntary surrender of Beasley this week.
Ed Davis was also indicted so he won't be returning to play PF for the Wolves.Monster wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 11:11 amWell there goes an option for a bunch of teams. Well, my Malik Beasley dream is headed for a lifetime ban from the NBA and maybe going to prison.
Bryant was on my list of possibilities. Oh well...kekgeek wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 1:58 pm Free agent center Thomas Bryant intends to sign a one-year deal to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, sources tell ESPN. Bryant averaged 12.2 minutes and 6.2 points over 60 games for the Cavs, who worked with Mark Bartelstein and Zach Kurtin of @PrioritySports on the new contract.
